    The location of the hotel is really good. Everything in walking distance and located in a quiet road. The hotel staff is very helpful. The room furniture is a bit aged but practical. Space-wise is okay, not too big. The toilet facilities is also quite old. If you look for a hotel with convenience, this can be a good choice.

    First the good: the location of this hotel is great, you're central and walkable to most sites. It stops there. The day we arrived, we were charged an additional 100+ euros for our stay (perhaps this is an additional Barcelona tourist tax, they didn't explain, we thought we paid all the taxes upon booking, but maybe this is an additional tax, no explanation). Our room had strands of hair and a cigarette butt on the floor when we arrived (see photo), maybe they just forgot to sweep. Then we found a pair of underwear in the closet (see photo if you dare), we discarded asap. I went to shower and the drain did not drain at all. We went down to talk to the front desk, they said they'll send someone up to clear the drain & discard the underwear. Someone did come to clean the garbage but not fix the drain. For the rest of the week we had to shower with the tub filling up above our ankles, whenever you ran the faucet, the drain in the tub backed up & bubbled and when other people used their bathroom from the other rooms, our shower slightly backed up and made gurgling noises. Even in the middle of the night we'd be woken up to random water gurgling noises. Even if you closed the door you could hear it because the bathroom door doesn't actually close, there's no latch, it's a swinging glass saloon door! We'd routinely notice our towels were dirty, there is one hook for a towel in the whole bathroom - so both of us used that and the hand towel had to be placed over the hair dryer...the list goes on. I don't know how they got a 4 star rating, it was a horrible hotel experience and as much as I love Barcelona, I couldn't wait to get out of there. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone I know, it was sadly a very uncomfortable and dirty experience.

    If you want convenience this is the place to stay. But the rooms were small. Aircon did not work. TV for Spanish speakers only. Wifi was spotty. Breakfast was OK but definitely not work *** Staff was very nice though...
