Redcliffe Parade No 9 I City Centre

The house is lovely, a proper five story Georgian town house, with excellent views over the river across the centre and up to the University side of Clifton, and barring the bits of damage that haven't been fixed, is a lovely place to stay. The garden is really lovely and quiet too, and the location is excellent for the centre, which itself then takes you on to wherever you want to go.

There is a surprising amount of damage to the house that hasn't been fixed, and they unexpectedly charge you an eye watering deposit once you place your booking, £800 in our case, pretty much the same as we were paying for our stay. You need to have cash in the bank to be able to afford this place. I hope we'll get it back, but combined with the existing damage to the house that you notice on arrival (scratches on walls, broken chairs left lying around, door knobs coming off in your hand) it does make you nervous for getting all of your deposit back. We photographed as many damaged things as we could in the first half hour to at least create a contemporaneous record to show these things weren't our fault.

Location was perfect with a great view over the river and easy access to the riverside, bars and restaurants. The house was stylish, very spacious and comfortable. The sheltered and private garden was a bonus. The agency was flexible in handling problems over transference of deposit payment

There were a few minor issues in the house - a broken chair, outdoor coffee table and upstairs bathroom handle. We had difficulty gaining entry initially simply because it was difficult to see there was a second entry code for the internal door. The format of this information could be clearer I.e. highlighted in capitals . It would be easier to sort out a deposit prior to the day of arrival - the last minute provision of the entry code caused some anxiety.

Il faudra revisser les pieds de la table du séjour qui ne tiennent plus du tout. Un sèche cheveu dans la salle de bain serait très apprécié.

Location was very good and the little courtyard was sweet. Beds were comfy and the area was safe.

There was an issue with cleanliness of the sofa in the lounge which was so dirty that we couldn't use the place, it was repellent. Also the bath water didn't drain and we tried to communicate with the vendor but he/she did not reply. Can you imagine that we went for my Son's wedding and 3 of us there couldn't take a pleasant shower, because we had to step into each others dirty water to get ready. The water drained in hours or during the night. It was very disappointing and disturbing that we were ignored by the vendor, even to supply a drain pump or something. Nothing was done. I would like lo ask for a compensation for this inconvenience which spoiled the wedding experience and our stay.
