Town centre White House

Near the Triangle so good location. Price was the main reason for me to book this but I wish I’d just paid more to have a nicer stay.

No soundproofing, just walking across the floor affected other rooms. The bathroom needed a thorough deep clean. The bathroom mat was wet near the entire stay (yuck). No TV, no proper black out blinds. Was a fair stay for a fair price but I was disappointed not to have the cleanliness be paramount.

Well maintained, clean and nice place indeed. The process of checking in was smooth and Lisa is responsive to any queries. Beautiful room set up. There is common kitchen and refrigerator. The location is near the centre and there's a lot of restaurant and shopping arcades. Near to the bus stop as well. Towels provided.

First of all, you have to provide your own toiletries as this is expected because this is a guesthouse. Secondly, the oven/stove can't be used if you want to cook something. Third you have to take off your shoes when going to the room but I can see the point since they want to maintain the cleanliness but I dont agree with the slips on that has been used. They should have provided a disposable one because you never know who might have used it and can cause transfer of infection to the feet, again this is a budget guest house so I will suggest bring your own slips on that can be used inside the house as to not compromise the cleanliness. Fourth, The floors are creaking and sounds can be heard through the wall. There was an instance one morning on my second night, a guy (a guest) from the 2nd floor can be heard grunting, banging and screaming at around 5am in the morning. It did not stop until 7am. I think the guy was drunk as well and talking to somebody. I felt there's something wrong and felt scared after I had been awaken by the sounds. I have contacted Lisa right away and she responded that they will sort this guest out. I'm not blaming the Property for this for it was really the attitude of the guest that was shown here. Thank you for the prompt response though.

Clean, approachable, comfortable

Great location. Near shops, restaurants and beach. Everything you need is walking distance. The M1 bus also comes straight from train station to the house.

Cleanliness was poor- wet dirty towel left from previous person in the room, we stayed 4 days and 3 nights and in that time the shared bathroom was cleaned only once, shared bathroom needs cleaning far more often, thick limescale, grit, dust and people’s hair. Bedding had stains although it did smell washed and cobwebs above window blinds. No communication- had reached out multiple times over months and was ignored. Even when finding the previous person wet towel at check in between 4-5pm, this wasn’t responded to until 10-11pm and wasn’t resolved until the afternoon next day. Also no communication on how to gain access to the property until I had to directly chase the person away from booking.com a couple hours before arriving. This caused unnecessary stress and worry that the booking was cancelled or they wasn’t aware of us coming. Especially when we’re travelling a great distance of time and expense. I also expressed it was for a birthday and they missed a trick to go a little above and beyond. You think you’ll save money with using the shared kitchen, but there’s a sign saying do not use the oven or hob. You can only use the fridge and microwave. So why advertise a shared kitchen if the main components are banned for use. I guess you get what you pay for. And there was no care or hygiene that surpassed this.

They wasn’t any tea or coffee though they was a kettle shower was hard to control was itchy at night might be to do with the washing powder yoused

They let me in early because my phone was nearly flat otherwise I’ll not get into it .

My opinion it was very clean, desk chair wardrobe bed, you also have use of microwave and fridge in the downstairs Kitchen, the view from room couldn't see much as it was attic style room, the room was clean and bed comfy shower was working but bracket to the wall was broken. Overall it was Good not Great

Too noisey, was kept awake till 1 am, was only offered refund for the parking even though I had to vacate after one night.

Clean, bright double room with a desk and wardrobe. Bed was really comfy, decor is basic but tasteful giving a nice feel and you can prepare your own food on site. Onsite parking for £3 a day was amazing and the check-in process was so well organised. Lisa, the owner/manager was amazing, nothing was too much, she responds and deals with questions immediately. Location to Town, beaches and highway can’t be beaten.

The Bed was very comfy and the shower was beautiful

The floor was a bit too noise, and the towels were not changed. Bed not comfortable as I expected.

Location is good as it's a few minutes away to the town centre.

The creaky sound on the floor when someone steps on it. You will hear the noise on the top floor and if someone is going in the bathroom, in the middle of the night!

Since it is not a hotel stay, I liked that it was organised very well before checking in. It was clean and well maintained. Never could sense if anyone lived in the house too except few occasions at night which wasn’t very intruding

I believe the area is a bit distanced from the center. Getting back late nights could make it feel a bit secluded. Also walking to third floor with my parent who is 60+ made it challenging

The noise in room F was intolerable, I’m not a light sleeper by any stretch but the floors are so ridiculously paper thin it’s currently 3am as I listen to another new guest snore, pee asif they are in the room with me. Guests / residents smoking weed in the garden directly below my room and talking at volume as we speak, the property backs onto a church with a school yard so the children noise starts around 7am - 2pm this is whole room is torturous. My instructions initially never arrived as the owner had sent them to the wrong number, being a lone female traveler made me feel really anxious therefore prior to arrival that details for my lockbock were just out there in the world but no bother the entire properties keys are all chucked into one lockbox in an honour system so everyone has access to eachothers keys prior to arrival anyway. I’ve had a really really really miserable time and have in turn reached out to the owner to no response via booking.com

Reception was really 100%

Really great, convenient stay. Even though it was a shared space, it was not intrusive at all. There are enough bathrooms to suit the entire house, and barely anyone used the kitchen.

Nothing could have been better - it was all really great.

Room was modern and spotless, easy check in, parking either on property or on road, bathroom spotless, location very close to town

Cleanliness Well Organized Comfort of a bed

It would be great if owner should keep salt and pepper in kitchen.
