Lovely property in a great location.

We loved the location and the cleanliness. The breakfast was nice. Shower was amazing.

A stool in the main area for use to eat instead of on the bed and a shelf for the shower recess. But everything was really lovely.

Ideal accommodation for a two night stay

Clean and compact accommodation. Cereals and toast/jam included. Decorated with Christmas tree. Mince pies and Xmas card left for us. The property was warm and cosy.

Nothing really. Made a couple of recommendations to owner to improve it but nothing really wrong with it (e.g., felt bathroom would benefit from an extractor).

Cosy Getawat

Tracy is very accommodating, Paynes Pad is a cosy little getaway with everything you could want for a short break. Very well considered space and lots of information available for the local area.

It is very small/cramped (and we were there 5 nights). We found the bed a bit soft for us too.

Great little place

Perfect for the two nights I was there. I was asked in advance about preferences for bread and milk. The kettle, plenty of tea and coffee, the bread, lovely selection of jams and choice of cereals meant breakfast was quick and easy to prepare. The place was 15 mins from the marina where I was working on Thursday. Little pub close by was basic but very pleasant - not doing the advertised food on the Wednesday but I went to an excellent chip shop was just down the road. Uber to central Poole on Thursday night was around £10 and picked up in3 minutes. Surprisingly, the taxi I got back after dinner cost the same. Payne’s Pad is a little gem and excellent value for money.

A well appointed and equipped holiday home

Paynes Pad is a lovely converted garage situated in a residential street about 2 miles from Poole.Compact accommodation with everything you need for a comfortable stay. A well appointed and planned conversion. Very clean and everything to a high standard. Lovely loaf of bread, cereal, milk, small pots of preserves and all toiletries supplied, Friendly host and the added bonus of a garden terrace with table and chairs provided. A really good find for a mini break

I share the same view as a few other reviewers. The mattress is soft and not supportive with anyone who has back issues. As a result my lower back has been uncomfortable since returning home:(

Good price, perfect for a short stay

The breakfast is perfect for a short stay, cereal and toast. The price is excellent and the owner very responsive and helpful, we asked for seeded bread and we had a very nice loaf. The welcome sweets are a bonus. The use of courtyard at the back is a welcome addition as there is little room to "sit" in the accommodation.

The wifi is a bit on the slow side in the property and the signal is rather weak.

Had everything I needed, apart from shortcomings over breakfast. A comfortable stay.

The property is finished to a high standard and thoughtful extras like chocolates are supplied. It is situated in a quiet location, but a car/taxi would be required. After being asked what I usually ate for breakfast, the wrong cereals and bread were made available - luckily, I had taken a couple of bananas. Tracy was very helpful and welcomed me.

I prefer a firmer mattress and wondered how old the present one is. Although a double bed is supplied, it would be a tight squeeze for two in the room.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this property for a comfortable stay in the area.

This was an immaculate small property, spotlessly clean with everything one could wish for. It exceeded my expectations with the welcome addition of the continental breakfast items supplied, and parking right outside the door. The double size walk-in shower in the ensuite bathroom was superb.

There was nothing I didn't like. The only small improvement I could mention would be the addition of a safety handle in the shower.

Truly exceptional

Truly exceptional self-contained little studio with your own entrance and a separate access to a private patio at the back. Beautifully designed, perfectly clean with all the necessary amenities. Everything is provided to make your own breakfast. Very quiet and peaceful. I loved it.

We stayed for two nights and it was everything we expected and more.

The accommodation was small but Tracy has made amazing use of the space. There was everything we needed and more. DIY breakfast was good as was the hot chocolate, sweets, biscuits and jams. The shower pressure was excellent. We couldn’t fault anything.

We don’t think Tracy could improve on excellence.

Paynes Pad was perfect. Everything you needed was included, and Tracy was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent facilities spotlessly clean and a great power shower was appreciated. Access to the garden was a nice touch.

Wonderfully value for money accommodation

Small but perfectly adequate for a couple of nights stay. Excellent small breakfast of cereal and toast. Weather good so could sit outside and have a hot drink, very adequate supply of hot drinks. It's much better than impersonal travel lodge and premier inns in my opinion. Wonderful helpful host

Perfect, just what I needed. Cute, cosy little room, comfy bed, very very clean.

Paynes pad was ideal, I was working night shifts and needed to sleep in the day. It was very quiet, black and blinds and super cosy. The room had everything I needed and more and I felt very safe and comfortable staying on my own somewhere new.

Fabulous property at great price

The property was beautifully presented with high quality furnishings, towels, bed linen etc. It was spotless and inviting. There were lots of choices for breakfast/afternoon tea. I particularly appreciated the sunny patio on which I could eat my takeaway (from a selection of menus provided).

I would have liked information about bus routes as I did not have a car. I found the keylock box impossible to use.

This has been an absolute gem of a find. Location is close to the College and a great hub for getting around Poole and to Bournemouth. The facilities were more than I was expecting. Shower is amazing! And I like a lot of butter on my toast😂

Eine kleine aber sehr feine Unterkunft. Die Vermieterin Tracey hat wirklich an alles gedacht und das kleine Appartement mit viel Liebe zum Detail und super gemütlich eingerichtet. Sogar ein kleines Frühstück, mit allem was das Herz begehrt, war für uns vorbereitet. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder!
