A Perfect Stay with Accessibility, Scenic Views & Thoughtful Hosting

We chose this cottage for its wheelchair accessibility, peaceful location, and electric car charging point—and it exceeded expectations. The layout was ideal for my partner’s wheelchair, with easy navigation and a well-equipped shower featuring a low tray and sturdy grab bars. Nestled in a tranquil spot overlooking Beauly Firth, the views were stunning, and Inverness was just a short drive away—offering both serenity and convenience. The EV charger was a huge plus, saving us trips to public charging stations. Our host, Hamish, was a delight—welcoming us with fresh eggs, and even sharing his newspaper-folding trick for fire kindling. A truly memorable and comfortable stay.

There was nothing I didn’t like. I would only mention that my partner found the bed a bit low for him (was fine for me) but we travel with elephant feet and the 9cm raisers made it the perfect height.

Eco-holiday home with a view for garden lovers and those who prioritize environmental conservation

This is a wonderful eco- holiday home. Designed with care by the owners to have a low environmental footprint (solar, composting, electric car charger are just a few of the resources here). Hamish and his wife live on property and were warm and generous hosts. The view is great, the gardens amazing and a wonderful view. We loved it.

Beautiful eco-friendly cottage with spectacular views within 5 miles of Inverness.

The cottage is beautiful with spectacular views. The property has flower gardens and natural grasses. There is ample space in the bedrooms and bathrooms and there is a fully stocked kitchen (including spices, tea, coffee) and large living area. There is also a washer and dryer. Hamish is the perfect host - he met us at the cottage, walked us through the house and explained how to control the automatic blinds and use the appliances. When we came home the following day we found a bag of chanterelles that he had gathered which were delicious! This property is a rare find and I’m so glad we found it. We would definitely stay here again.

Hamish is an amazing host. I wish he were my neighbor! The house is in a quiet area, and the view of the bay is amazing. Hamish has flowers and plants galore, and the landscaping is phenomenal. If there were a place to retire at, this is the place.

Overtrof onze wensen

De locatie overtrof onze verwachtingen. Je had zicht op Loch Ness wat heel mooi was. Het huis was heel modern ingericht met alle snufjes die je maar kon vinden. De eigenaar is ons komen verwelkomen en heeft tips gegeven voor onze uitstappen. Een heel aardige man. We konden ons EV opladen aan het huis zelf. De badkamer was heel ruim en proper. Een moderne keuken met alles wat je nodig had.

Geweldige locatie met heel mooi uitzicht op de Firth, luxe ingerichte Cottage en heel vriendelijke eigenaar Hamish.

Enige verbeterpunt is bredere bedden. Bedden slapen goed, maar zijn beetje smal.
