About this house rental
Welcome to our beautifully remodeled home in the highly sought-after Costa Serena 55+ community. A 30-night minimum stay is required. The primary occupant must be at least 55 years old, and a second full-time occupant may be 45 years or older. Children and guests are welcome to visit and stay overnight for up to 30 days.
Enjoy the cool coastal breezes while relaxing in this comfortable home featuring a 55-inch TV, a plush king bed in the primary bedroom, a queen bed in the second bedroom, and a leather power recliner—perfect for unwinding after a day at the beach or exploring Oceanside.
Step outside to the covered patio with a table and four chairs, the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or an evening meal. A gas BBQ grill is also available for guest use. A propane tank is provided with the grill; however, guests are responsible for refilling the tank if additional propane is needed during their stay.
Pets are welcome with prior approval. Please let us know how many pets you plan to bring. A pet fee of $100 per pet applies.
High-speed WiFi, water, and trash service are included. SDG&E (gas and electricity) is included up to $100 per month. A one-time $250 cleaning fee applies to each stay.
A refundable $500 utility deposit is required and will be returned after checkout, less any excess utility charges or damages beyond normal wear and tear.

We enjoyed our 6 week stay in the bungalow. It is in a 55 community which is very quiet but close to shopping and the beaches.

I think the living room furniture needs to be replaced. The sofa and recliner are not in good shape, Very uncomfortable . The streeming service on TV was awful, no live tv. We couldn’t park our car in the garage because she had furniture stored in there. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans. No pantry suppl

This property is simple and clean. New appliances. Fairly well stocked kitchen.
There is a fenced in backyard with a covered seating area, which is nice.
If you are handicapped, which my wife is, the following info might be helpful. The rental is all on the first floor, no stairs and no steps. However, the door to the bathroom is so narrow my wife struggled to get her standard sized walker through the doorway. And the clearance between the door of the shower and the toilet was too narrow for her to safely get in as there are no grab bars.
Finally, the landlord charges for utilities above a certain level. Because the house is so poorly insulated and California was experiencing a cold spell, we had to pay an extra $100+ when we left.
We will not be returning.
