About this cottage rental
Our place is close to the beach, restaurants, dining, and nightlife in the Village, two malls, Legoland, and major freeways. You’ll love our place because of the ocean peak view, new construction, beach cottage design, and the neighborhood. Use the pool (unheated) from dawn to dusk. Features include onyx counter tops with under-lighting, farmhouse sink, industrial spray kitchen faucet, stainless appliances, tankless water heater, open concept kitchen and living room , 15 ft vaulted ceiling, and 256 sqft deck west facing for sunsets with a panoramic peak of the ocean view. Parking in the driveway next to the front house in front of the gate. Second bed is a full size fold out couch with memory foam mattress. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).

Very nice property.A peaceful quiet neighborhood with some really nice sea breezes. We live in Las Vegas and it was very nice to sleep with the windows open. Close enough to Carlsbad village that you can easily drive to. 5 minute drive to the coaster parking lot and everything San Diego has to offer.

We fell in love with the Story Brooke Cottage the moment we arrived! Chip and Quay were the most caring and kind hosts we’ve ever had. It was such a blessing getting to know them, and the cottage felt like home. They put so much effort into making our stay as amazing as it could be, and we are so grateful to know Chip and Quay. The Cottage is the perfect place for anyone looking for a beach getaway, and we are already looking at booking for next summer! We couldn’t be happier with our stay!

First, Chip and Quay are the most gracious, welcoming hosts. They were available to answer any questions, took the necessary safety precautions during the pandemic, and always checked in with us to see if we needed anything.
The cottage itself is absolutely stunning! The effort and attention put into the decor of the place is incredible — it's the perfect beach getaway and brought us so much light throughout our stay. It is also about a fifteen minute walk from the beach, and we were able to see the shore almost everyday! The sunsets, too, were wonderful every night. We couldn't have imagined a better semester, and we couldn't recommend a better location.

My family had such a wonderful time on our recent summer vacation, in part due to our stay at the Story Brooke Cottage. It is conveniently located to all the usual San Diego area attractions, but more importantly, its so close to the beach and the adorable Carlsbad Village area. Chip and Quay have created a beautifully decorated, cozy retreat, that was perfect for us when returning from a long day of sightseeing or beaching. The cottage fit the four of us comfortably. It was stocked with everything we needed, from Keurig coffee pods and trays for cookie baking, to extra blankets for my girls (so that I could keep the windows open all night to enjoy the ocean breeze without freezing them out!). My favorite thing to do was to have some quiet time in the morning with my cup of coffee on the balcony, while my family slept off the previous days adventures. Our hosts offered their availability if we needed it, but allowed for privacy while we were there. Though, I wish I could have met Quay to tell her how much I loved her beautiful home! Thank you, Chip and Quay, for your part in helping us to create wonderful memories. We are blessed! We hope to visit again!
