A lovely stay

In a beautiful area, quiet but plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of loungers on the beach. Staff were kind. Food was lovely and fresh. We really loved it. Magical location and beautiful sunsets.

Some more comfortable loungers on the beach would level this stay up!

Great stay, friendly staff, but a bit overpriced

Location was great, breakfast on the beach, very friendly staff, and great boat trips that the hotel organises.

We paid €450 per night. It was high season, but the price definitely doesn’t meet the quality of the hotel. The room is very small. Also for this money in my opinion, kayak, beach towels should be included.. so overall for this price you expect a bit more.

Looks great in photos, but too much noise and no invoice

The room was very clean. Everything else was destroyed by what you will read next.

The stay itself was disappointing due to constant noise and administrative issues. The pousada is located directly above where the owners’ family spends their day. From early morning until late evening there was persistent noise: loud conversations, shouting and a child yelling. This happened over multiple days, even after I politely raised the issue with management. While the staff acknowledged the situation, nothing effectively changed and I was told that this was unavoidable. As a result, the tranquility one expects when staying on Ilha Grande was completely missing. Resting in the room or at the beach during the day or evening was impossible. Also, I requested a company invoice multiple times: at the time of booking (months in advance), during my stay, at checkout and again in writing after leaving. Each time, I was reassured that the invoice would be provided at a later stage. After weeks of follow-ups, delays and being redirected between staff and automated systems, an invoice was finally issued, but it only contained my first name, despite the fact that the hotel explicitly asked me to provide the full details which I supplied repeatedly in writing. When I explained that this document could not be accepted by my tax authority, the hotel blamed government's system limitations, despite the fact that a hotel in Rio have managed to successfully issue a exemplary invoice a few days ago. Finally, the hotel stated that nothing could be corrected and effectively closed the matter. As a freelance photographer, this resulted in a significant financial loss.

An island paradise!

The staff, rooms, facilities and restaraunt were all excellent. Our hosts Gabriel and Lucas and all staff that worked within the pousada were professional and extremely helpful. The rooms are immaculate and modern, the facilities are in excellent condition and air-conditioning and hot showers worked perfectly. Highly recommend eating at the restaraunt as you can have your meals served on the beach if the weather is nice! Close walk to lagoa azul and other beaches.

This is just something to be mindful of when staying on an island and that is the weather. But the staff made us very comfortable during this time and it made it an enjoyable experience.

A blissful Christmas stay in paradise!

Amazing location, lovely rooms, friendly staff, and good food.

Nothing. Sometimes, communication can be a little tricky via WhatsApp and staff can be difficult to find, but this was probably due to us being there over the Christmas period and it didn’t detract from a wonderful stay.

Great place to stay in the nature and far from the crowds

Location is amazing and the room was spacious, nice and clean, with amazing view . Great breakfast

It is difficult to talk to them. When waiting for the boat to take us from Angra to Ilha Grande we did not know exactly the meeting point. I called many times and wrote messages on WhatsApp but none replied. Finally the boat driver called us. Dinner was not great, also they only prepare meal for 2, which limits the options. We had to leave the Pousada 2 days before because one kid got sick. While I know no refund was due, they could have given a small discount as a gesture.

Wonderful remote paradise in beautiful Brazil

The location was amazing, and the host was so helpful. The check-in for the island isn't completely straightforward, but the comms were clear and helpful and the welcome was strong!

The food was a bit hit and miss - sometimes wonderful, sometimes not so much.

Fantastic Paradiso you will not regret

The location was outstanding at a quiet corner of the beach. It looked like the Seychelles. The environment was just breathtaking. The staff was very helpful and attentive.

Relaxing days like Robinson Crusoe on a remote, quiet paradise island

The location is amazing/paradise. The owners are very friendly. The breakfast on the beach will be unforgettable. We liked also that we were picked up at the Speedboat pier by the owner by boat.

The breakfast was fantastic and the staff couldn't have been nicer. They were so helpful and sweet. They had transfers to help with transportation around the island.

I do wish they had a dining area so that we wouldn't eat on the beach or in the room. It's not that big of a deal though. This place was amazing!

Peace and calm

- Great location, by the beach close by to restaurants, bars and mini-markets in Araçatiba. - Attention to details, beautiful room, sparkling clean. They also offer kayaks and snorkels to discover the island.

Only comment to note, not about the hotel but the Araçatiba region: beware that this is a remote region where it's hard to reach other towns in Ilha Grande. We wanted to do scuba diving and realised that there's no operator in Araçatiba and it was very hard to get to the other part of the island to find a diving school.

It was an absolute joy to stay in Luca & Family's beautiful B&B. We felt really comfortable, peaceful and at home in the room. Luca was flexible, super helpful, and lovely! I also recommend his boat trips, they are fantastic!

Fantastic hosts, great location on the beach, snorkelling and kayaking whenever you want. lots of recommendations. Good restaurants nearby. Close to Lagoa Verde. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had, served on the beach as a bonus!

Amazing

Belas Aguas is a very special place. The rooms are beautiful and the location is perfect. You just walk down the steps and you are on a tranquil part of the sandy beach. You can borrow snorkels and see an array of tropical fish. We never saw turtles but someone else staying there did. The accomodation is only a short walk to some lovely restaurants and bars and the breakfast included was delicious. We also went on one of the boat trips provided by Belas Aguas and visited some beautiful beaches and the blue lagoon. However the best thing about this place, and the thing that made it for us were the lovely family and staff. They were so friendly and kind and made us feel so welcome. We were sad to leave them. Can't recommend this place enough. Worth every penny. Thank you!

Fantastic Pousada in great surroundings with great service

Fantastic surroundings with view to the ocean. The family who runs is the Pousada is fantastic helpful and will do everything to make you feel comfortable. Also the breakfast which we chose to get on the beach is really good. Will definitely recommend!

Endroit idyllique, séjour inoubliable.

Endroit paradisiaque sur une plage très calme de Araçatiba, au bord de l'eau, petit déjeuner sur la plage, la chambre est confortable. La restauration est plutôt bonne! Le garçon qui s'occupe du service est très sympathique.

Parfois nous nous trouvons un peu seuls en attendant que quelqu'un arrive pour demander un service. Restaurant un peu cher mais au prix de l'île. Dommage qu'ils n'offrent pas une eau de bienvenue, tout est supplément.

Do conforto, facilidade para agendar/organizar os passeios uma vez que a pousada mesmo organiza, qualidade do café da manhã e de todos os pratos servidos no restaurante e cordialidade dos funcionários. O canto da praia de Araçatiba onde fica a pousada é lindo.

Apesar de muito atenciosos e educados, achamos que o atendimento/serviço de bar na praia poderia ser mais eficiente. Internet um pouco instável para quem deseja trabalhar/fazer um full home office.

Missa inte denna otroliga pärla!

Vilken liten pärla detta boende är! Fantastiskt läge på en lite avskild del av stranden, jättefina rum, frukost som äts direkt på stranden med tårna i sanden. Vi åt bara middag på restaurangen en gång då vi även ville prova andra alternativ men det vi åt var oerhört gott och vällagat. Men det som sticker ut mest av allt är den familjära stämningen och den oerhört vänliga och hjälpsamma personalen. Hit vill jag återvända. Missa inte detta boende om du åker till Ilha Grande!

Excelente, recomendado.

La ubicacion es excelente para los que nos gusta estar lejos del ruido y el caos. La tranquilidad es abosuluta. Se puede hacer snorkel en la posada y se ven tortugas y muchos peces. El restó de la posada es excelente, el precio es acorde a la buena calidad de sus platos. La atención del personal también un 10. Ofrecen paseos en una lancha que está en excelente condiciones y también su tripulante muy genial.
