Welcoming home atmosphere

I loved the homelike atmosphere, the warmth of the hosts, the comfortable bed and well-designed bathroom, the lighting options, the wall art, the self-service food and drink amenities.

I can't think of anything (in terms of issues that I've encountered in other places) which David and Polly hadn't anticipated and solved. Everything was wonderful.

Nothing wrong with accommodation. But location was difficult for me at the time. That of course was outside the hotel's control.

Very convenient location. Friendly and responsive staff. Nice bathroom / toilette. Common area had nice little kitchenette and local guides.

Busy street with lots of car noise into the night and the morning. No AC, so windows have to be open to cool down at night if visiting in summer.

Pleasant and comfortable in Genoa

Very clean, great hosts, helpful, attentive and kind. The room offered plenty of space and a nice common area with coffee, fridge, eating utensils and always plenty of chilled water on hand in the fridge.

Genoa in general has more motorcycles and scooters than most places (even for Italy) which can be loud at times, but this is not a reflection on this property.

Lovely stay in a cozy room with a good location.

David and Polly were such great hosts, very kind and dedicated. They take care of every detail to make the stay the best. The room was delightfully decorated, clean, and comfortable. They received us with fruit and focaccia and after a long day of travel that was a glad surprise.

We have an amazing time during our stay at Dimora Caffaro, I can't think on anything that didn't like.

There was a very long steep hill down to the interesting part of the city. It caused me much difficulty going down and walking up. Would not recommend this for anyone with even mild mobility issue. Booking.com should warn people about this. No laundry services any where near which was another problem.

Hospitality, room decor, location David was very kind and friendly. When we arrived, we found a plate of fruits and focaccia in our room. That was lovely!

The appartement is close enough to the center that we walked everywhere. With the fresh produce markets being very close

- Great location - friendly and helpful hosts - handwritten note and some food to welcome us:) - space in the fridge to eat meals in a very flexible manner - fresh cooled water in the fridge - facilities were very cleanly and they even had board games and books, there was a nice little table right by a window where we usually enjoyed our breakfast that enchanted the whole stay with a positive and happy vibe ( the room niña) - the possibility to hang up our clothes was highly appreciated

there’s nothing we didn’t like only a few things we could think of that have room for improvement: -while there are cutlery plates and glasses free to your disposal a sharp knife to cut groceries would be highly appreciated -instead of us throwing our trash away in the containers in the street it would make sense to have pet aluminium and maybe even glass bins in the common room - because of the large collection of books we only had limited space to to use the “bookshelf” -carbon monoxide detectors would have been appreciated!

Wonderful accommodation great location just a 10.minute walk and you are in centre. Our host was always there to help. Room had use of microwave fridge toaster and coffee machine which is perfect.. Tea and coffee provided. A bowl of fruit was provided on our arrival, lovely touch. Thank you

This is an absolutely beautiful apartment and our hostess was wonderful. She welcomed us into her home with freshly baked focaccia and fresh fruit and was very helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable and full of character. I highly recommend this stay.

Great welcome and home feeling. Loved the atmosphere and uniqueness of the place and of Genoa. David was always on top of answering my questions and I enjoyed Simonetta ensuring all was to my satisfaction every time we bumped into each other. Her focaccia was the best.

If you are not in shape, the hike up may be challenging. However, few hotels at this value for money level are on the flat. This is Genoa!!!

Останавливались здесь уже второй раз. Прекрасное расположение, вблизи основных туристических маршрутов, 15-20 минут ходьбы до piazza Ferrari и via XX Settembre, 25-30 минут ходьбы от ж/д станции piazza del Principe. В номере есть все необходимое для комфортного проживания. Отличные кровати, матрасы, подушки, ничто не мешало хорошему сну. Улица не слишком оживленная. Шум с улицы устраняется, если закрыть окно в комнате, в санузле оставляли окно открытым, но закрывали дверь в санузел. Не было душно. Прекрасный душ - моя отдельная любовь)) В номере есть фен, в общем пользовании имеется электрический чайник, кофемашина, микроволновая печь, холодильник, утюг, гладильная доска, чашки, тарелки, столовые приборы, предоставляется чай в пакетиках, капсулы для кофе машины, сахар.

Большая квартира,близко от центра города,удобная кровать,подушки.Есть вода,но не факт что покупная,а не из под крана.Приветливый хозяин.

В комнате нет кондиционера и обогревателя,очень холодно и довольно темная квартира в целом.В квартире живут хозяева и это немного мешало.В ванной комнате висит жутко старое зеркало,возможно как элемент декора,но это неприятно.Квартира вроде и стильная,если вы любите бабушкин уют,но требует обновления.Полотенца жесткие и серые,постельное белье не отглажено,похоже что экономят максимально,окна тонкие,поэтому слишком шумно в квартире днем и ночью.Когда идете из города,нужно подниматься в гору,от автобусной остановки с вокзала,длинная лестница вниз.Кстати,оплатить картой и наличными в транспорте нельзя,нужно купить заранее в табакериях.

L'option deuxième lit, malheureusement 1,60m de long donc trop petit pour un adulte, et pas idéal dans la circulation de la chambre.

Miły i komunikatywny gospodarz, lokalizacja obiektu w pobliżu historycznych zabudowań oraz piękna Genua sprawily że mój

Obiekt urządzony gustownie i oryginalnie. Stosunkowo blisko do najpiękniejszych ulic i zabytków Genui. Darmowa, chłodzona woda oraz herbata i butelka oliwy stanowiły miły gest ze strony właściciela.

Zdecydowanie przydałaby się klimatyzacja. Sam wiatrak nie pomaga gdy temperatura na zewnątrz przekracza 25 stopni. Dla nas było za gorąco. Wieczorami gdy robiło się trochę chłodniej otwarcie okien trochę pomagało, ale jednocześnie nie było możliwości spokojnego snu ze względu na hałas jeżdżących samochodów, a zwłaszcza motorów. Dźwięk jaki wydawały wszystkie te pojazdy odbijał się od ścian kamienic co dodatkowo wzmacniało hałas. My mieszkamy w lesie, wśród przyrody, dlatego też takie dźwięki nie są naszą codziennością. Oczywiście można wytrzymać kilka dni w takich warunkach, więc ogólnie pobyt oceniam na bardzo udany, choć nie idealny. Z drobnych rzeczy to zdecydowanie lustro w łazience do wymiany 🙂

Dimora Caffaro a Genova. Siamo 6 amiche di Bologna e abbiamo soggiornato alla Dimora Caffaro usufruendo di un accogliente appartamento dotato di 3 stanze ciascuna con il propio bagno. La casa ci è apparsa esattamente come di nostre aspettative. Stanze ampie e luminose,ottimi materassi e perfetta pulizia. C'è anche una stanza comune dove abbiamo gustato caffè,the e acqua fresca. Ci sono molti libri e giochi di società. Abbiamo trascorso un gradevole soggiorno anche con la collaborazione di Davide e Polly, ottimi proprietari che ancora ringraziamo. Karen, Rosa, Nadia, Franca, Grazia e Maria.

Design-ul interior este incredibil, camera avea foarte mult bun gust, iar cladirea în sine este ft frumoasa. Gazdele de nota 10!

Ottimo B&B, curato nei minimi dettagli, in una zona centralissima ma tranquilla di Genova, a pochi minuti a piedi dalle principali attrazioni turistiche, bar e ristoranti. Gli host sono molto disponibili e professionali! Ho particolarmente apprezzato la stanza, spaziosa, arredata con cura e molto pulita, e devo fare un plauso speciale al letto, che ho trovato comodissimo!

Schönes Zimmer fußläufig zur Altstadt

Schon die Eingangshalle des alten Palazzo ist eindrucksvoll. Durch die Wohnungstür tritt man in einen gemütlichen Vorraum, von dem die Zimmer abgehen. Das ZImmer geschmackvoll und mit viel Überlegung eingerichtet. Alles zum Wohlfühlen! Schön auch, dass es im Vorraum einen Kühlschrank zur allgemeinen Nutzung gibt, in dem immer kühles Wasser zum Herausnehmen stand. Die Gastgeber sehr freundlich!

Emplacement et accueil au top !

Super emplacement, super chambre très propre (salle de bain toute neuve). David et sa compagne ont été très accueillants et arrangeants, très réactifs à nos messages. Des petites attentions nous attendaient à notre arrivée telles que des capsules de café (suffisamment pour en boire le matin pendant 3 jours!) et des fruits frais. Trois bus circulent fréquemment au pied de l'appartement (en bas de la rue) et se rendent en quelques minutes aux deux gares de Gènes. L'emplacement est idéal car totalement central : il y a des petits restaurants très bons dans le coin et le belvédère Castelletto accessible à 2 pas (avec ascenseur gratuit). Et en 10 minutes à pieds, vous êtes sur la place de Ferrari. Vraiment top pour visiter Gènes en quelques jours!

La rue sur laquelle donnait notre chambre est très passante et donc très bruyante. En soi, ce n'est pas de la faute de l'établissement et c'est le prix à payer pour séjourner dans le centre-ville. Mais il était difficile d'aérer la chambre en journée comme dans la nuit (il fallait se lever très tôt pour refermer la fenêtre à cause du bruit et se rendormir), ce qui est dommage vu qu'il faisait chaud dans la chambre (en fin d'été en tout cas). Autre point négatif : le bruit engendré par le système de pompe à eau dans la salle de bain. David m'a assuré que c'était normal et que le système n'était pas cassé, ce qui m'a rassuré! Mais il est difficile de se détendre s'il y a un gros bruit de pompage à répétition dès qu'on utilise de l'eau (c'est à dire pas seulement les toilettes, mais aussi quand on se douche ou qu'on se lave les mains ou les dents). Et impossible d'utiliser l'eau la nuit si vous ne voulez pas réveiller votre compagnon de voyage à cause de la pompe ...
