A reasonable central location to stay in Genoa

The hotel is conveniently located for exploring Genoa and working at the University as we were.

Too expensive foe ehat they offer

Location was nice, bed was comfy

There was no shampoo in the bathroom, enty bottles , it’s quite enjoying especially when you are already soaking wet!Breakfast was very poor and not much choice there!

Very good hotel from not the best place from Genoa

For families with children the position inside the Genoa Porto antico is not thr best decision to take.

Don't stay here bad return on investment

Excellent location.

Aircon is controlled by the staff who are ordered to keep it at a high temperature. I was literally sweating in the room and had difficulty sleeping. Three times I requested the temperature be lowered and I received the same response from three different staff that they had to keep the temperature high per management. Finally, I just kept the window open. Mattress and pillows were worn out and flat also causing difficulty sleeping. I asked for additional coffee packets for the room and was told by the staff that they didn't have and I needed to wait for the next day when the maid was in to get. Not recommended.

the location is perfect, the breakaways very good.

the A/C was fixed at nothing below 23 celsius because of the “winter”; it was 10/31 and I was with just a T-shirt outside… the elevator is very small. The room is Basic with capital B; don’t expect a cozy room…

We had a great time in Genoa but we stayed out of the hotel as much as possible.

It was near the centre of town. Easy to walk to restaurants.

Room was small and very basic. The bathroom was tiny and very basic. The room was dark as the window looked over and alley. The reception area has no ambience or comfortable seating. It felt like a budget hotel.

If you stayed at Best Western, you'd know what to expect. In the center of the old town, next to Porto Antico and Genoa Acquarium. Good location, quality breakfast.

for some days of basic stay, it is enough

the staff was sometimes nice but it's a best western hotel so cannot expect great service. the fitness room was small but had all the basic things you would need! it is close to the aquarium, i went there on a rainy day! good location: close to the Metro and the train station if you plan a day trip to Nervi or the sea. Close to the city center, walk a bit then you will arrive the main street where there are so many nice pasta restaurants.

room was noisy, facing the back alley with other buildings, so the room smelled like restaurants all the time. The overall area itself is safe but the main street of Porto Antico is sketchy, there are a lot of weird people and gave me bad vibes especially I am a girl alone. Nothing bad happened just a lot of people could make you feel uncomfortable if you are a solo girl traveler.

We had a great time and the location was perfect for us.

The location was great and even though it was in a busy area, the room was quiet. Breakfast was great and the staff were very kind. Upon arrival the room was very clean. There was a problem with the elevator but it was promptly fixed.

A part of the desk was falling apart and when I was passing by it, it fell on my leg. It was not secured in any way which could have been very harmful for one of our children. The hair drier wasn’t working properly. The hotel only provides body wash so make sure to bring your own lotion and conditioner. Just an fyi the elevator is pretty small and our full sized stroller wouldn’t fit. It can make it difficult, if you are traveling with small children.
