The living room has a large glass door that leads out onto a private balcony with a wooden table and six chairs where you can dine al fresco and enjoy stunning views out across Lugano and the mountains. Back indoors, the open plan living area has a contemporary sofa, a flat-screen Smart TV and a dining table with 6 seats. In the sleek, fitted kitchen you will find everything you might need during your stay: a cooker hob, an oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and Nespresso machine. The local farmers’ market (Tuesdays and Fridays) in Via Carducci (20 mins walk) is the place to go to pick up the best ingredients if you want to cook at home.
The city hosts many festivals throughout the year, including the “Luganomusica” festival every summer. MASI (the Museum of Art of Italian Switzerland) (a 20-minute walk) hosts regular contemporary art exhibitions.
A day trip exploring the Lago Lugano is a must, as is a walk along Lugano’s famous waterfront, with breathtaking views over the lake. For a more active break, there are regular mountain running races throughout the year as part of the Ticino Mountain Running Cup.
For business travellers, the apartment is just an 11-minute walk from the Centro Esposizioni Lugano exhibition centre and an 18-minute walk from the Palazzo Dei Congressi Lugano.
