For your holiday in beautiful Lugano, THE CENTRAL HOME is the elegant and perfect solution for families, groups of friends or colleagues on a business trip. This spacious three-bedroom apartment is located in a strategic area, surrounded by bars, restaurants, supermarkets and all services, and just a 5-minute walk from Lido di Lugano and the Centro Esposizioni exhibition center.
Upon entering, you are greeted by the living room, tastefully furnished with refined accessories, such as the original sideboards that add a touch of charm. Here you will spend pleasant moments in company, chatting or reading a book on the two comfortable sofas, perfect for relaxing after a day spent outside. Next to it, the dining table comfortably accomodates up to 8 people.
The kitchen, open onto the living room, is fully equipped with all appliances and the necessities to prepare lunches and dinners as at home, or prepare an aperitif or breakfast to be enjoyed on the terrace. Equipped with a table and four chairs, it is perfect for pleasant moments in the open air during the summer, an ideal place to enjoy the view of the surrounding mountains and a small glimpse of Lake Lugano.
The three bedrooms can accommodate up to 6 people and offer a variety of accommodation options: a standard double room, a second double room with a king-size bed, and the third room with a sofa bed, consisting of two single beds (Please note: The sofa bed will not be prepared as a bed for your arrival, as we deem it proper to use it as a sofa during the day. You will find the bed linen, pillows and blankets in the wardrobe/shelf closest to the sofa.). The apartment has two complete bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a hydromassage bathtub, for long moments of relaxation. The apartment has a laundry room with washing machine and dryer.
Quality bedding, towels and a courtesy kit are provided.
We also leave a gift basket with some necessary items for your first breakfast.

How to arrive:
By car: After arriving at the Lugano Sud motorway junction, continue to Via Riva Antonio Caccia and Riva Vincenzo Vela, after about 9 minutes you will find yourself in Viale Castagnola. From there turn into Via delle Scuole to access your apartment.
By public transport: After arriving at Lugano railway station take bus no. 2 in the direction of "Castagnola, Capolinea" for 7 stops (approx. 10 minutes) and get off at "Cassarate, Lanchetta". From here you will be in front of the apartment in 2 minutes on foot.

Definitely had a mixed experience at this VRBO. The check in was very difficult, mostly due to the fact that the parking card never worked. The keys were also a problem because there was not a way to get into the building except through the parking garage, which we could not access. We waited 45 minutes to figure out how to access the building. Upon entering we had an issue with the air conditioning (which was an easy fix), but we waited for a person to come service. That same person who came to service the AC said they would "try" to fix the parking card, but if it didn't work, we should tell the people at the garage entry the card was broken. We ended up having to do this every single time we came or left from the house. It never was fixed and was hugely annoying. However, the person who came to fix the AC also showed us how to use the keys to enter the property without needing the garage, which was confusing until he explained it.Besides the check-in and parking issues, the property is lovely. The view was spectacular! And sitting and relaxing outside was wonderful. There was plenty of space for our family of 4 (2 adult kits parents). The bathrooms and bedrooms were nicely appointed. My only other comment is the bed in the back room with the bathroom attached is awful. It really needs to be replaced. Before booking, I inquired about the mattress, which they informed me was replaced based on other reviews. But it isn't the mattress, but the bedframe is bent in middle.

The property is located very near the Lido, and a 15 min walk from the Center of town, which was very nice. It has a nice set of balconies and, when standing, you can see the lake. The kitchen is nice and well apportioned. The listing did say it has a microwave (it did not) but did have a washer/dryer and dishwasher, which are key for us.The host company was very patient and responsive to our questions. We had an issue with a leaky AC the first night and they sent maintenance out the next day to resolve. My only criticisms of the apartment - the AC for the 3 bedrooms is in the hallway. It keeps the hall very cool but cannot seem to cool the three bedrooms well. The second critique is the primary bedroom needs a new mattress. It has memory foam topper which helped a little but the underlying mattress/springs are pretty shot. My spouse and I both felt like we were rolling into the center.All in, we wound stay here again, especially if they change the mattress.

This place is very close to transit that will take you anywhere in the area. The place has plenty of room for a family of 5 like us. There is a store and cafe right downstairs which is very convenient. The host communicates well and responds quickly. The place was clean. I highly recommend this place for a stay in Lugano.
