Old Mills Resort at Historic Gruene boasts this beautiful new condo, private parking, only half of a mile to all Gruene offerings... Old Mill Resort is the perfect place to stay whether a romantic getaway, family outing or just the peaceful setting to relax and reconnect with friends. Take a dip in the pool or relax in the shade under the pavilion. Our 1200 square foot fully furnished condo is conveniently located 1/3 mile from Historic Gruene and Rockin R Tube Rentals. Less than 2 miles to the Comal River Tube Chute, Schlitterbahn and 3 miles to downtown New Braunfels. Take in the live music, dancing, great food, shopping and antique shops during your stay. The Hidden Gem Event Center is on site.
This fully furnished 2-bedroom condo is on the 1st floor. There are 2 master suites with king size beds. Both bedrooms have cable, Smart TV and private en suite bathroom with deep soaking tub/shower combo. Premium linens and hotel size bathroom amenities provided. Fully equipped kitchen and washer and dryer for convenience. Pack and Play, board games and children's games provided. 2 communal charcoal grills (charcoal not provided). Comfortable seating in the living room with queen sofa sleeper, cable, Smart TV and Wi-Fi. The pool is open from 9 AM - 9 PM.
Host must be 25 years of age or older to make a reservation and must be staying at the property. This condo has a maximum occupancy of 6 guests. This maximum occupancy is not to be exceeded at any time. No daytime guests allowed. This property is dog friendly with a 2 dog maximum, 40lb max weight limit, at $25 per day per dog. Please make sure your breed is not on the do not rent to breed list. 2 vehicles allowed. To comply with city and county short-term rental permit restrictions, the outdoor are of this complex is monitored by video camera. This rental includes accidental damage protection up to $1500.

Finding the room was difficult. The listing is called “Old Mills Resort,” but the property signage says “Hidden Gem of Gruene.” This discrepancy wasn’t mentioned in the instructions, which made arrival confusing. The property numbers were also not visible from the parking lots, and the building didn’t match the photos shown in the listing. We tried texting and using the chat feature for help finding our room but never received a response—not even the following day.Once inside, the room itself was very clean, neat, and spacious. It was properly stocked and matched the written description. The plastic mattress covers were a bit uncomfortable and trapped heat, which affected sleep. The couch felt a little low-quality, though I understand it may need frequent replacement during peak seasons. I was also wondering what happened to the living room rug shown in the listing photos, as it wasn’t there during our stay.With clearer instructions, accurate photos, and better communication, this could be a much smoother experience.
