PRESTIGE BOUTIQUE APARTHOTEL -Piazza Duomo

The property was well designed and spacious. The location was unbeatable, a stone’s throw away from the Duomo and many other attractions were in walking distance. The Duomo metro was near as were restaurants and cafes. The staff were responsive and always willing to replenish anything we needed. A complimentary clean was offered during our 4 day stay which wasn’t long enough. There is so much to see in Milan Would highly recommend this apartment.

It was a little tricky to find and even our taxi driver struggled as it is located in a pedestrian area so taxis can only come so close. Italy has a rule about how low the air conditioner can go in hotels and public buildings so unfortunately it wasn’t possible to get the room temperature below 25 degrees which was bearable but not comfortable at times. It was a heat wave during our stay.

Once it was clear exactly WHERE the apartment was, Francisco was wonderful and all went to plan.

I took a taxi to the address of the company. The actual apartment was 800m away. The correct address was printed on the check-in info, but it was not highlighted that it was infact a different address.

Great location

Fantastic location right behind the Duomo, close to shops and restaurants. Very comfortable bed, good quality linen. Decent sized bathroom. Perfect temperature. 2 coffee capsules and bottles of water provided on arrival, replenished when asked for. Spotlessly clean.

Check in was a nightmare. . There is no one there. They insist a form is completed which includes passport details and sending a photo of passports. With the rise in identity theft is not safe. However, unlike other hotels who are happy to wait until I arrive, they initially declined to give me entry instructions. When I reluctantly tried to complete the form, it refused to add citizenship, country of birth, passport issuing country from the drop down menu. Eventually they sent a video. But in accessing the key box with the right code, it would not open. As I booked a suite, and from the photos I was expecting a separate living area. In fact it was a small/ medium bedroom, with small stove top and sink. Either I was allocated not what I'd paid for, or the info and photos are misleading. It certainly was not a suite and I paid over £700.. It was not good value.
