Exactely as expected and what was needed

Ayu Bisma Homestay was the perfect place to stay, it is off the main street so very quiet and peaceful, but within walking distance of great restaurants and the Ubud Art market and main attrations. The hostess and her family was very welcoming and made sure I had everything I need. The room was spacious and clean with a beautiful view over the jungle. Breakfast was amazing!

Lovely homestay

Ayu, who is the owner of the homestay, is such a nice lady! Always taking care of the guests and smiling. We had a very early check out and since we couldnt make it to the breakfast that day, night before she stopped us while we were walking out for Ubud and offered homemade fresh banana bread 🤩 such a nice lady, and her dog Acha! Definitely gonna visit again. The rooms were comfortable and the garden has an amazing swimming pool where we took all the beautiful pictures 💖

Lovely hosts and very friendly.

This stay was truly lovely. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming they really went out of their way to help me when I arrived, and I felt very well taken care of. Such sweet people. I would definitely stay with them again if I ever return to Ubud. They have a beautiful garden, and some adorable animals walking around my favorite was, of course, the little kitten, which I loved feeding myself. The hosts were always available for questions or help, and even if there’s a bit of a language barrier, you can easily get by with something like Google Translate. I even ended up staying an extra night, which they arranged for me without any problem. It all felt very personal and warm.

One small downside for me was that the room itself felt quite old-fashioned. There weren’t many power outlets, which made charging my phone and laptop a bit tricky. The room was very spacious, though. Overall, while the room style wasn’t quite my taste, the kindness and warmth of the hosts made this a truly pleasant and memorable stay. I felt comfortable, welcomed, and at ease and that made all the difference.

We had a great time connecting with Ayu’s household. We were able to rest well, eat well and have hot shower to refresh

Ayu’s family home is tucked in a small side street off of one of the main roads at the centre of Ubud. Despite the busyness of Ubud this properly is quiet and private. My friend and I love engaging with Ayu’s staff and family; seeing the creativity of her husband who paints and meeting their different pets. Ayu would prepare for us delicious and fresh breakfasts and was flexible with the time she would serve them so that we could meet our travel itinerary.

Home stays offer a more personal and modest approach in facilities in comparison to staying in Hotels. My friend and I were ok with this and our stay reminded us of our own experiences in our relatives home. It would be nice if possible to have a mini fridge and kettle in the room. That way we can have more independence when it comes to our personal meals and snacks.

The best homestay in the whole Ubud. The owners are extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and prepared freshly every day. The room is spacious and clean. One of the best stay we have ever had. Highly recommended! Thank you

The entrance is very difficult to find, in a dark small street. No proper indications to find it. Nobody knew where is it was. The breakfast is very poor. The bathroom was very dirty behind the sink. The armachair is close and available to use. The small fridge very noisy! They neither provide soap. Very bad and stressing experience.

Ideal location, lovely family and really good price/quality

Ayu Bisma Homestay is ideally located near from the Monkey Forest, Ubud Palace, Ubud market and nice roads with restaurants, massages, laundry and everything you need. The family is very nice and helpful and have a beautiful garden with lovely pool and some nice animals (rabbits, kitten when we where there). Breakfast is different everyday so it was nice. They booked us a cab from the airport and stay up late (1 am) to welcome us. Really good price/quality.

Walls are thin so it you can hear the room next door. It wasn’t a problem for us as we were 3 and booked two rooms but rather prefer to say for people in a different situation. But for us, it was really great place to stay.

Ayu tell her plan to make over the rooms one by one, so she hopes that more booking coming. Please support her!

Good location and reasonable price

Ayu was very welcoming and attentive, she improvised a vegan breaky for us and it was very nice of her. It is separated from the main road with helps with the noise. The garden is very beautiful and the pool as well. Ayu provided us with drinking water 🤗

Standards of cleanliness are clearly different for people, we didn’t think it was sparkling clean as the previous guests did. There were spiderwebs and the smell in the room wasn’t very nice. The double bed had single flat sheet but we asked for another and we got it straight away. We could hear everything in the next room (including the phone call a girl had until 2am).

The real Balinese Homestay experience

I really felt welcome once I arrived at Ayu Bisma Ubud and was greeted by the owner, Ibu Ayu. I can really feel the real homestay experience while staying here. I only booked a room with a fan. Please don't expect a fancy room here. Its only a basic room, but at least i can sleep comfortably here. The pool is great. The location of this house also so convinient. Tucked away from main road of Bisma street. You can easily found many warung, resto, shop, cafe along the bisma street. Ubud palace just 10 min walk from here. In the morning when Ayu finish cooking for her family, she invited me to join them. I was join them enjoy breakfast. It was a rice with some balinese style veggie and fish. It was the best real balinese home cooking that i ever taste. Well maybe because I a the only guest who stay in her house, so she just spontaneously invite me to join them. I see how struggling Ayu and her family at this moment. 2 years of pandemic really make the situation bad for her family. Getting cheated by the former property management, bank debt, etc. That's why then she can't do renovation in her house, however, it was enough for me. I mean the room is still fair enough with the price. If you guys want to enjoy the real Balinese homestay experience while help a local family, this is the place that you must stay, AYU BISMA UBUD

The room is quite old, however, I understand how struggling Ayu at this moment. I do really hope that she can pass this situation and can save money to do some renovation to make her place shine again.

Very good cost benefit, definitely worth the homestay experience if you want to get to know a little bit more about Balinese culture instead of staying in a hotel The location of this house also super convenient, just 10 min walk to Ubud center

La localisation

Nous avions réservé deux chambres pour trois personnes et nous avons dû dormir dans une seule chambre en raison de l’odeur, très forte de moisi dans l’une des deux chambres. Par ailleurs, les sanitaires sont assez sommaires et le personnel n’est pas à l’écoute voire assez désagréable. Malgré le fait que nous ayons signalé dès le départ que nous ne dormirions que dans une seule chambre en nous serons dans le lit en raison de cette odeur, la propriétaire a refusé de nous rembourser ou de baisse le prix de la deuxième chambre.

L’emplacement de ce Homestay est idéal : dans le centre mais loin de l’agitation de la rue. Les hôtes sont très gentils. Le petit déjeuner est bon varié et servi rapidement.

1/2 drap pour dormir à deux c’est compliqué mais ça rapproche ! Et une serviette de toilette pour 2 s’est un peu juste pour un séjour de 4 jours. Dommage que les hôtes ne propose pas le service de laverie.

Bij binnenkomst een persoonlijke begroeting en wordt direct duidelijk dat je onderdeel van de familie bent. Prima kamers, mooie tuin met fijn zwembad. De kinderen vonden het geweldig om met de hondjes en katten te spelen. Ontbijt goed verzorgt met elke dag wat anders, vers bereid.

Hôtel simple mais bien situé. Joli jardin verdoyant, jolie piscine. Super petit déjeuner, surtout les banana pancakes et coconut pancakes (non seulement bons mais aussi très joliment présentés).

Confort sommaire (conforme aux photos). Le matelas est confortable, mais il n'y a qu'un demi drap et une demi couverture (étonnant...). Salle d'eau qui ne donne pas très envie, mais qui est propre.

Это замечательное место! Хозяева - лучшие в мире! Каждый год к ним приезжает много гостей. Бассейн большой и красивый, территория ухоженная. Номера просторные, но сантехника очень старая и немного пыльная. Но преимуществ так много, что на недостатки не обращаешь внимания. Мне даже удалось побывать на свадьбе их дочери, получив незабываемые впечатления! Для меня каждый день готовили вкусные завтраки, а мои пожелания учитывались! Всем советую подружиться с хозяевами!
