Cosy, clean flat with everything you need for a short break. We saw a seal out the front window and partridge out the back. Close to Montrose Basin for a dawn visit to see and hear the pink footed geese!

This was our second stay here and, as before, we loved it. It is snug and a little quirky, but there is nothing that one might complain about. The pre-visit communication was comprehensive and timely and the flat was impeccably clean and well equipped. There was everything a short-term visitor might need (and some other essential items, so if you arrive late and forgot something, it is probably there, avoiding a last-minute dash to the supermarket), plus a welcoming bottle of wine and bar of dark chocolate. There is no television, but the wi-fi is reliable, so iPlayer worked well. There is usually parking outside, but manoeuvring might be difficult with a large vehicle, though there is a car-park around 100 yards away. Montrose Basin wildlife centre (open from 10.30) is close, but birds and seals can also be watched from the window.

The decor, the view, the shower and the facilities. Very efficient and informative contact with the host. The flat is small but very well equipped and plenty big enough for a couple. Place at the back of the property where we could leave our bikes safely. Stayed here before and will again hopefully.

This was not an issue for us but there are just net curtains on the bedroom window so the room gets light very early in summer. There are plenty of sleep masks provided but if you like your bedroom to be dark and cannot wear a sleep mask then you should consider this.
