Great stay at Clifftop - would definitely return

Loved the open plan kitchen/living room/dining area, cosiness, comfy beds, log burner, proximity to the beautiful pebble & sandy beach, starry sky and wifi.

Walls in the main living area are a little bare so the addition of some artwork would be nice, lots of cigarette butts on the road right outside cottage door, no phone signal with EE, wasn't obvious where outside bins were.

Slightly disappointed

Couldn't find instructions for all appliances. No torches or candles ( experienced a power outage) No view despite being billed as clifftop cottage Sofa was filthy

Basic but comfortable, enjoyable

Its proximity to the beach. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The living dining area was spacious enough for the family.

Lacked any form of welcoming pack, no personal touches. No live TV and Netflix wasn’t available. Kitchen switches all labelled incorrectly. Shower needs updating to stressful to get temperature suitable. Bathroom sink tap needs sorting to difficult to get comfortable temperature of water. No toilet roll holder. Some pans not suited to the induction hob installed.

The property is exceptionally clean and modern. The location is absolutely stunning. So peaceful. We had our two little dogs with us and they loved it. Loads of stunning beaches and walks around.

Lovely short stay in beautiful/comly cottage

We loved the property and would highly recommend.. The property has bean sympathetically refurbished, and provides all mod cons in addition to a the log burner. Location is quiet and quite remote but ideal for exploring/walking to local area/beach. This is dog friendly for no additional charge which is so welcomed . On the whole everything you could need is in this beautiful property

No so much didn’t like .. just some honest comments from experienced due to high standard otherwise throughout. Rooms are ample size.. Single beds in one are small by design so the a bit neat in size for adults but beds comfy otherwise. Some instructions re use of ovens, heating system etc would be useful too. Guest toiletries/shower gel would be nice .. and a mirror in the second bedroom would be beneficial 🥰

Definately worth for nature and solitude lovers!

Very cosy and modern cottage with splendid living room to get together in. The countryside in Auchmithie had beautiful coastal walks where we could enjoy the sunrise by the beach. And we were nicely welcomed with a bottle of cava, sweets and a personal note of our celebration of our daughters masters graduation.

Beautiful cottage in a stunning location.

A beautiful location, good communication to pick up key code. Lots of information was provided. Nicely fitted out with essentials like hoover, ironing board, crockery etc. Lovely fresh decor that was modern and stylish. The whole property was very clean and well maintained. It was a comfortable stay and very enjoyable. A little jewel!

A full length mirror? Tv was only apps so couldn’t watch the news. Netflix account had expired. We couldn’t figure out how to cook on the hob.

Comfortable and roomy accommodation. We loved the log burner. Very well equipped kitchen.

Poor shower. Sharp edges on the shutters on inside of the windows. I tore skin on my forearm on one in the corridor. We hat we had to put the heating on when we got there so it took ages to heat the house up.

Auchmithie cliff top.

Beautiful accommodation, large and airy, fully equipped. Could not have asked for more.

No immediate facilities - No shop and local restaurant closed Monday night and all day Tuesday, but food on Monday lunch was really good.

we had a lovely 3 nights and Auchmithie is a hidden Jewel. We would book again.

very clean and well equipped, although it’s not got a direct view over the cliff it’s proximity to the cliff path and numerous walks makes it ideal for walkers and dogs, our rough collie loved it .

we found the couch very uncomfortable and it is showing signs of use it’s a pity because it’s the centre of the living area which is otherwise lovely, a new couch would be a great asset.

Good location & amazing views a short walk from property

Shame there was nowhere to dry off clothes etc outside & there no view of sea from property despite location. We came with kayak & best day looked like it was going to be our arrival date ….was disappointed you had to pay £12 extra to be able to enter an hour early to offload our bags

Nice place, a few tweaks needed

The location was good for access to beautiful Angus beaches and glens. The cottage was clean with thick clean towels, clean bed linen and warm duvets.

The cottage was very cold. It was missing the promised kindling so we were unable to light the wood stove and the panel heaters took some time to warm the place up. The many cold hard surfaces didn't help and some throws and a rug in the living area would have projected a warmer atmosphere. The microwave wasn't functioning and despite the kitchen being part of the living room there was no extractor over the hob.

Fab stay

Loved the location and self check in. The cottage was clean and modern style.

The couch wasn't comfortable, maybe a little change required there. No fire lighters and cut logs were too big for the fire. These are minor things to suggest some improvements. We still loved our stay and captured some brilliant photos.

Cottage was in a beautiful location, 2 minute walk down to the beach. Stunning coastal walk to Arbroath. Cottage was spotlessly clean, modern and log burner made it very cosy. Host was very helpful and attentive. It was our first visit to Auchmithie and we'll definitely be back.

Exceptional

Lovely cosy cottage. All the facilities we needed. Comfy beds, nice shower. Stove and some logs made evenings in front of the fire lovely. Location is only a few miles from Arbroath, and situated on a costal walking path. Lunan beach is stunning and just a few miles to the north, highly recommend checking it out.

Nice warm little cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay

Having lived in the Arbroath area in the past was great to find this gem and will return next time I visit the area. Very quite area with local walks at the door and only a few minutes outside Arbroath.

Lovely location, a short walk to the beach and to the local restaurant. Modern cottage with large kitchen and well equipped. Nicely decorated. Cleaning products provided. We didn't need to light the fire, but we put the heating on briefly and it was very effective. Binoculars were a nice touch. The shower is great.

Toilet seat is wonky. We found the sofa pretty uncomfortable although it looks nice (the armchair is comfortable). Kitchen could do with a wooden spoon.

Had such a wonderful weekend staying at Clifftop Cottage. when you walk in the door you notice that it’s spotless clean, bright and modern. Everything and anything you need on hand. The beds were so comfortable…….we loved it.
