The Manor House, Curry Mallet

Very friendly and helpful. Food was lovely (homemade), my room was comfortable and clean. A beautiful place in the countryside, only a short drive to the town centre.

Breakfast was simple but ample and the evening meals on offer at a reasonable price were also very welcome. Welcoming pots of tea in the garden and time to chill were also much appreciated. We also loved the friendly dog, May and the two cats, Lily and Bailey. Bailey is particularly adorable! I have forgotten the hostess' name, but she and Will were both knowledgeable about the history of this very ancient manor house and we enjoyed a tour before we left this morning. Very comfortable, atmospheric stay. I suspect ee will be back!

We liked the history of the Manor House, it was quiet, the bed was comfortable, the hosts were friendly and gave us a tour of the house including the Elizabethan panelled room and the Medieval Hall. There aren’t any places to eat locally but the hosts cooked us a lovely meal so we didn’t have to go out again after a long day travelling and this also made a difference to our stay. The weather was hot and we ate in the cool courtyard.

Lovely location, really spacious, clean and comfortable rooms, and the bathroom was great for size and one of the best showers I have ever had. Bill was great showing and telling us all the history of the Manor House, even though we were only there for 1 night. great for a history fanatic son, Breakfast good in a really relaxing place.
