Disappointed

The location was suitable

First of all, I didn't get the apartment I booked on Booking com. My daughter discovered tenants living there, who'd been there for over two months (which was prior to my booking). After a frantic time,, (this was mid winter!) I received an email to say keys were available at a different apartment in another street but no previous warning had been given. This apartment had: No door on bathroom No working TV Filthy, smelly water in washing machine Security door at back of property not working, yet strict instructions were left by owner to leave a large window open at all times to aid ventilation! Floor tread uplifted, plaster dust over worktops, rear yard not cleared of discarded shopping trolley, etc.

Don't stay here, it's tatty with nothing to offer.

The rooms were a good size.

There was so much we didn't like. It was tatty and not very clean. I had to go to Asda on the first night to buy a tray for the oven, tin foil to line the filthy pan that was there, paper towels as there was no tea towel, washing up liquid and cloths, salt and pepper. There were no racks in the oven. The fridge had been painted as had light switches and light fittings. Wooded panels were rotting and tiles had fallen off in the bathroom, there was a lot of rubbish on the garden. The towels smelled damp and nasty, we couldn't stand up in the shower, unless you were four foot tall you wouldn't be able to wash your hair without getting back ache from bending double. I could go on, it was so expensive for such a tatty place.

Pleasant

It was a spacious apartment with most things we needed. The fact it was dog friendly and had a garden was a bonus. The location wasn't to far from metro but a bit out of town.

One of the beds was broken so not a comfortable. The ubove neighbours were up banging with the TV extremely loud at 4 in the morning every morning. One of the rooms only had 1 towel and the spare ones where out on the washing line, soaking as it had rained. The shower leaked a little.
