St Marys Light house, Caravan Rentals

The property was lovely and clean and well presented

No door mat and was very muddy apart from that everything was fine

The caravan was nicely presented with nice decor and accessories. It was next to the pool and park, and you could see the sea from the living room.

When we arrived it was 10pm as we came after school and stayed for 2 nights. The radiators hadn’t been turned on so the caravan was 6 degrees, yes, SIX degrees when we arrived. We were literally shivering and went to bed freezing. Even by morning we were still shivering. There was condensation on the floor in the bathroom from the cold radiator next to the toilet. I wiped it up with som tissues and it was yellow. Clearly someone’s wee that hadn’t been cleaned up. The bed was so uncomfortable. I have a variety of health issues, one being pain and I barely slept for 2 nights, 1 because of how cold it was and 2 because of how uncomfortable the bed was. The quilts are either extremely cheap or summer quilts. Very thin. And we stripped the beds before we left to try help the owner out, and they were full of yellow stains. I’m actually disgusted I slept in them, and more disgusted I allowed my 4 children to sleep in them! There are no stepping stones outside the caravan, so you literally have to walk on the grass which was extremely muddy, then no mat or runner to wipe your feet on, so we were constantly having to clean the floor. The wifi didn’t work. There was what looked like a router in the cupboard but no instructions. There was a QR code near the TV, and when you scanned it, it went to the parks wifi which didn’t work unless you paid! If you say you have WIFI like you insist on your other feedback, then leave instructions, but I don’t believe they have their own WIFI. There’s DVDs in the cupboard but no DVD player. NONE of the facilities were open which weren’t mentioned on the listing. The kids were hoping to go swimming. We didn’t see a single member of staff. The caravan wasn’t easy to find. No map was provided and reception wasn’t open. And as mentioned in another review, the towels!! They are tiny. I’m 9 stone and it didn’t even wrap around me. They seem to be slightly bigger than a hand towel. They are very worn and ready for the bin.

Lovely caravan, well equipped, comfortable seating and beds. Situated only a short walk from to the entertainment centre and play park if that's what you want. It's a nice walk to Whitley Bay centre straight down the prom. Easily accessible by public transport which is right outside the site. Owners were responsive to questions and queries.

There were no elements that we didn't like but would have found an information pack helpful that included guides on how to use some of the appliances such as the microwave, the TV etc, also recommended restaurant's, bar's and takeaways :)

Very clean spacious caravan. Had everything you could possibly think of. I forgot to take clingfilm on our stay but need not have worried as there was even some of that in the cupboard.

Everything and you could even see the sea from the lounge.

Absolutely gorgeous caravan in excellent condition. Everything you might need for a get away was provided. The owner was extremely helpful and responsive to any queries we had. The location of the caravan was absolutely amazing. Perfect rental for a family looking to get away to Whitley Bay
