Lovely weekend, it’s a lovely caravan but needs a good deodorising.
The property was clean, amazing view of the sea and lighthouse. The property was very clean. The lights and heating had been put on for us as we did not arrive till after 6, I thought that was a nice touch.
We struggled to get in, the key store must have been broken as the patio door was unlocked and the key had been left on the bench. When we opened the door the smell of wet dog hit us, it was awful. The sofa was not very clean and was stinking. The main bedroom also smelled of wet dogs. The bathroom radiator was leaking and the floor was soaking. One of the bedrooms did not have a handle on, so if you closed it and were inside the bedroom you would have been locked in. The caravan was just a couple of metres from the play park, this did not bother us at all, but the height of summer it could be noisy. The entertainment was right next to us again the music from there didn’t bother us but it was loud.

Terrible stay
Not as advertised. Booked as a 5 bed, three bedroom caravan, but one room was locked so only had two rooms/ two beds/2blankets between my three young daughters and myself. Boiler claimed it needed turning on, but had no pressure/needed servicing so extremely cold first night. Eldest daughter is autistic, so having to squeeze into 1 bed with her two sisters meant a night of misery. Spoke to host and no help. Spoke to site multiple times and no help. Spent first two days trying to get the caravan livable, ended up going home a day early.

Lovely place to stay but perhaps not really set up for winter.
Location was fabulous, views were amazing. Finding and parking by the caravan easy. In the summer or warmer weather this would be lovely.
Heating didn't work properly and we were cold. Not all the radiators worked Fire didn't work as a heater. One morning no water due to frozen pipes and no instructions in caravan as to what to do if a problem occurred. Couldn't find caravan park staff that early in the morning. Caravan wasn't ready when we arrived and we had to leave again and return later. Wet towels left on the sink and cobwebs everywhere but I do know that the normal cleaning staff were not available due to the holidays.

Great views and location but the property needs a deep clean & a proper update as tired and grubby.
The location is great. Lovely views and walking distance from Spanish City and Whitley Bay town. A trip to St Mary's lighthouse right in front of the property was amazing. The van was warm, and the mattresses fairly comfortable. We contacted the owner regarding all the problems listed in the problems section, and she was VERY responsive and by early morning the next day arrived with towels, a new kettle and teaspoons, etc etc. She said the van is getting an overhaul with new carpets etc. She explained she had a new cleaning company and they needed managing to ensure good service. Appreciated her rapid response to rectify matters.
Was advised that the PIN code for the lock box would be sent the day before we arrived. We had arranged a 4pm check in. No code and we had to call the owner and then wait half hour before we got pin. Only got in at 5pm. The property was not clean. The kettle was rusty and unusable. There was no frying pan or towels. The bin was dirty inside. Shower had stuff on the walls. The van is right next to the playground so you hear the kids having fun. There are banners on the perimeter fence, and in the wind they banged incessantly which hampered sleep.

DO NOT BOOK!
The view was about the only thing to like!
PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING THIS CARAVAN This Caravan isn't fit or safe for purpose (well also be reporting it to park dean itself). To start with we got no access code to get the key, I emailed in the morning, text as we were 30 mins away and ended up having to call. - The decking - railing is broken at the steps and the decking itself is unstable at best. Kids have access to sharp screws in places and by the French doors your foot sinks down! Also dirty - patio furniture- all looked so dirty i wouldn't sit on it, nor would the kids. - furniture- the one chair we dared sit on, you sank almost right through it, the sofa is the most uncomfortable thing I've sat on in many years - beds - don't expect much sleep. They are not in the slightest comfortable In general the kitchen space looked nice. Carpets throughout were disgusting and stained, wallpaper ripped in places and it looked like it had got damp in some of the rooms. Handles missing from doors etc. The worst part - when I finally went and read reviews...all of these issues have been being reported for years. And a lot of people have the issue with the access code. Just save yourselves the money and book elsewhere.. I wish we had.

Caravan was located next to a park so very noisy during the day. Caravan was dated and not cleaned to a good standard. F

Would have been good to have a frying pan and more utensils like sharp knife’s or scissors
