Great location, a little noisy.

Location itself was great it’s close to everything - but tricky to find the actual apartment from the instructions as the parking bays are not always outside the property. If I knew the property was right by the restaurant at the front I felt I could have found it quicker.

Good for the price but not luxury.

Location was great, some lovely views and value for the price. Host gave great directions and instructions.

Not luxury as advertised, 3 star at best. Musty smells when entering the apartment and in the wardrobes. Black mould along bedroom window ledges and corners. Lots of dusty surfaces, especially the sockets and skirting. Bed heads on both singles loose and bang when moving in the bed, damage and marks to the fireplace surround and there should be a handrail in the shower for anyone with unsteady movements. Ironing board could do with a new cover as it has lots of burn marks which rub off clothing when using it.

A few things could use a little attention: the shower pressure was quite weak, and a full-length mirror would be a nice addition. The apartment had a slightly musty smell, so some air freshener would help. Also, while the towels looked clean, they had an unpleasant odor. Nothing that can’t be easily improved.

It was a nice apartment and the location was great.

It was clean, the kitchen was well stocked and location was excellent. The beds were very comfortable.

It’s described as a luxury apartment and we didn’t feel that we would describe it as luxury. The sofas were a bit uncomfortable and the heater didn’t work in the bathroom so it was very cold.

Lovely relaxing stay with allocated car parking space, all restaurants, cafes and pubs within walking distance.

Very central to everything

Thé only thing I can think of was the access to the car parking space as the way given was very narrow to access the area, however the parking space itself was very spacious. We found another way in though from the road where Fallbarrow Caravan Park is and it was 100% better, would recommend it.

This apartment was in a ideal location for convenience stores, other shops & restaurants, it was quiet spacious, clean, & well equipped.

Not essential, but would have been nice to have some terrestrial channels instead of just apps.

Great central location but a few minor gripes

Great central location, shops and restaurants all within a stones throw.

It was a little noisy at night, but can't really complain being so central. Parking and locating the apartment was a little tricky though but not really a big issue. Main issues were the immersion heater to turn on hot water took a long time to heat up so couldn't give our daughter a bath on the first night, shower was also very weak. According to the website pets are not allowed, but I found myself becoming allergic to something in the apartment - later found a dog bowl under the sink so put 2 and 2 together. All in all it was fine, but didn't feel as nice as it could be.

Perfect base from which to explore Bowness

I cannot rate this property highly enough! It is situated smack-bang in the middle of Bowness with about half a dozen restaurants within 20m and dozens within 200m. It had everything we could have wanted by way of facilities and appliances and then nice little touch’s such as tea/coffee/biscuits and even a selection of books and boardgames to while away the rainy lake district afternoons, if necessary. If you are in need of anything else, there is a late night co-op just next door! Parking was private and secure and the apartment was a great size, easily big enough for a family getaway. The owner was extremely helpful and got in touch before our stay to give us all of the info we needed to gain access and operate the systems (heating, tv, etc). My wife and I loved this place and hope to use it again in the not-to-distant future.

The steps are a little steep, so probably not ideal for the infirm.

very disappointed unsure is I ever want to come back to Lake District

location and parking

very noisy, difficult to find and wasn’t cleaned from previous holiday makers. This was sorted within 30 minutes but we had to vacate the property for an hour and half for the cleaners to do there job which ruined our evening! we were compensated for this but still it wasn’t acceptable.

The property was great central to shops so close to the lake 5–7 mins walk we had great weather so spent most of our time out but accommodation was comfortable and well equipped I was with my husband daughter and son-in-law and we had a great time together and the restaurants were fabulous would definitely recommend and the owner was very helpful

Perfect

Everything - location was perfect, everything you need on the doorstep and really close to the lake too. Apartment really clean and clear instructions/guides for everything you need, and the host was only a text away - didn't need them during the stay at all as everything was so clear. I will add, a few people have commented on the noise - I have visited the area before and knew the location. Being above the restaurant, I expected it to be noisier than it was. It was only really the clearing up during closing, which I didn't find a problem. Also took my 4 year old light sleeper and she didn't wake at all. Once the restaurant is closed, there's no noise so don't let it put you off. I love Bowness so much - when I come again I'll definitely be searching for this apartment.

Trip to the Lake District

The facilities at this location are second to none - clearly the owners have gone to a lot of trouble to make sure very need is taken care of Spotlessly clean and excellent location to all amenities I had packed my iPad for some night time video content, but I'd needn't have bothered ! Complimentary streaming facilities on the wonderful TV system meant the iPad stayed packed Whilst I had travelled on my own, clearly this is a location worth taking the family too - the property would keep both couples and families entertained with all the modern needs of streaming TV and fast internet !! Would highly recommend and will definitely return to the property
