The perfect apartment if you’re after luxury and location

We loved absolutely everything about this apartment, can’t believe we haven’t found this place sooner! Extremely clean, such an amazing room size wise, very modern and just amazing. The story behind the “bank manager” room is brilliant. The host is fab too, very attentive and always at the end of the phone if needed. They gave us a welcome pack via WhatsApp and it explained everything perfectly. We will 110% be back!

The apartment was EXCEPTIONAL and the owners/agents were just brilliant - they were super praoctive. The beds were comfy, facilities excellent and the location was sublime. The themeing of the apartments also added a wonderful touch to our trip. We'll defo be back and staying in the same place again!

We arrived late afternoon on the Saturday and there was no where to park so had to park down near the lake- so there was a bit of a walk! I think getting there earlier is better!

Gorgeous apartment in the perfect location

Absolutely loved the design and location - the bed was so comfy!

It would have been good if there was a microwave and also there were a few door handles that were loose so part of it kept falling off. We had a big pram with us so second floor flat wasn’t ideal but that’s more on us !

Place felt run down in places, door handles bits were falling off, cracks in bathroom tiles, blind didn't work in the bedroom, broken glass found in bedroom from previous occupants, same towels for duration of stay, thought might of had a coffee machine.. no microwave

It’s not that I didn’t like it but the back bedroom had weird plug sockets and no way to put your makeup on , also the coffee table in the room is a waste of space and you could do with putting a nice comfortable chair or l shaped sofa in the room . Because 2 had a comfy seat and 2 didn’t . But honestly it was absolutely brilliant 😁

Most enjoyable stay.

Beautiful apartment. There was no breakfast available; however, our apartment had a kitchen (no microwave) and we were able to buy ham eggs and rolls in the Co-op, almost opposite. The cleaning lady very kindly allowed us to use her parking space overnight. There were two very large flat screen TVs, one in the bedroom and one in the lounge.

At first, it was a little difficult to find the entrance - it was on the left up an alley at the right side of the property. There was a sign, but it was very small. The apartment's walls were all painted black (other apartments were not) and absorbed all light -it was very difficult to read the TV remote. Luckily I always carry a small torch! The car park opposite is weird! It's free after 6pm; however, You can only pay for four hours max after which they charge for 3 days!!! We arrived at 1 pm and needed 6 hours - not possible!

It’s really quirky we all love the front door and the apartment inside, the coolest place we’ve ever stayed. Inside has been furbished to a high standard. Great location, really lovely.

Nothing. We had already been told where to park. We did accidentally walk up bank terrace at 22:30pm with our noisy cases then asked inside the Indian, it was to the right of the Indian as your facing it! It was only because it was late or we would have found the entrance.

Very unique and fun

The accommodation was really beautiful and comfortable. Lots of amenities. Used the gym and pool that is partnered with the accommodation. Chris was very helpful with everything.

It is very important to save the information emailed prior to getting to the property as there is hardly any reception to download it on arrival. The check in progress was very stressful for me without this information saved. The parking is public paid parking and is stressful during busy periods

Poor…

Street entrance unappealing. Rubbish outside main door. Entrance dingy and dark displaying a diffuser that had run out. The smell of air freshener was overwhelming (never a good sign). The door to the apartment was stiff and we had to put a shoulder to it to open it and when exiting we had to pull on the tiny knob to try and shut it to. Upon entering the room (hardly an apartment) it was extremely dark and it was hard to find light switches and when we did find them, they hardly shed any light. Again the room reeked of plug in air freshener. The decor whatever the taste was cheap and you could see where the linoleum was cut around the separating wall. There was no wardrobe only a rail in the corner with wire hangers. There was one set of thin towels for two adults. The shower room was dark and felt grubby (we didn’t use it). It seemed that other people may have had difficulty opening and closing the doors too as we could hear them. When we got back around 8.30pm the lights just went off and we couldn’t figure out how to get them back on again! The wi-fi was intermittent at best. Outside the door was a cubby hole affair that had a vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board crammed in. Not a good visual. We left early as the accommodation wasn’t conducive to hanging around. We would have had to leave early anyway as we had to move the car before 9am. Parking was horrendous. My husband and I travel all the time locally and all over the world and this was up there with the worst. We nearly booked the Devonshire (which we know) fir the same price and wish we had. The apartment was certainly not worth It.

Bathroom very small. Apartments not well soundproofed. Therefore very noisy when other residents arrive/leave. Doors bang and walls are thin. Owners want only five star reviews in return for money off another stay, which seems unfair.

Key code locked us out twice. We received a £50 parking ticket on the arrival day. The facilities for parking needs to be changed on booking description as there is know parking unless you are paying for it. £47 for the week. Heating was not working when we arrived. Still wasn’t when we left!!! Chris the host kindly brought over a heater. More bath towels for longer stayers. Only 2 for me and my wife, for a 4 day break!!!

Centrally located apartment which is tastefully furnished

The apartment was in a very central location close to many cafes, shops and restaurants. The apartment was nicely decorated and very comfortable. Very chic and trendy. Overall comfortable.

The heating in the apartment did not work at all, though we followed the instructions given for the thermostat, nor did the Google tab, which was left to control it. The apartment building is only accessible by stairs, but this was expected. The main issue we had was that we booked this apartment as it said it provided parking; however, when we reached there, we realised there was no parking available anymore, only street parking on the roads after 6 pm. They provide parking in their other location, which is a 20-minute walk away.

Well situated in Bowness-on-Windermere. Not suitable for people with disabilities

Excellent location in the centre of Bowness Lots of nice cafes and bars near by. Great bus service too. Hop on hop off to other parts of the Lake District. Apartment was well decorated and loved the quirky theme throughout off the bank. Well thought through. Lovely big TV in lounge area with access to Netflix etc. lovely views. Place was very clean and well kept. Provision of tea towels washing liquid, tea coffee and toiletries etc Beds exceptional comfortable and roomy. Bathrooms amazing.

We stayed in the clearance lounge. Entry was via side street with uneven slabs and poor lighting when you first accessed main entrance. Lots of stairs to access apartment which we were not aware of , BUT stairs were well light. Would benefit an additional light when you first enter main entrance. Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. My husband is disabled to struggled with access and with steps inside the apartment. No freezer compartment and no microwave Only 2seater settle for 4 people so not very comfortable when settling in at night to watch movie etc. Electric sockets in bedrooms mainly 2 pin. which only left one for charging phones etc. No wardrobes space or draw space for clothes.
