Deja Vu

Location was perfect, not far from shops, restaurants and pubs; close to bus stop. Walkable to the lake, with boats to Ambleside. The accommodation itself is set over 2 floors and is well equipped, nicely decorated and furnished. The attic room was quite hot, even with the Velux windows adjar and with a fan, but it was exceptionally hot weather so we are not complaining! We stayed a week, finding it to be a quiet location. Reasonable cost too! Perfect area for exploring the lakes in a car or for getting around on the local buses, the service being quite frequent.

Slightly dusty in places, a few small maintenance issues but those didn't detract from our stay. Steps up to the property could be tricky for some people. 2 of the steps were quite narrow, especially the first one stepping out of the front door, which is located in a service road to the back. Parking was for only a very small car but visitor permit available so we were mostly able to park in the road to the front (reachable from some access steps down side path), or up the hill a little way. These small issues wouldn't stop us staying again.

Très cosy et très propre. Suffisamment spacieux, parfait pour un couple + deux voire trois enfants. Idéalement situé, proche des commerces et restaurants accessibles à pied tout en étant très calme. Place de parking incluse, ce qui est très appréciable.

On a eu très très chaud, notamment dans la chambre du haut mais il faut dire que sommes tombés sur une période exceptionnellement chaude…

The mattress in the ground floor bedroom was stained which wasn't what I expected. Some hooks in the upper floor bedroom would have been useful. Guest information folder needs updating.
