My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Balmridge House - Jane and Jim were some of the sweetest people! We had a nice sized room and the bed was very comfortable. We were cooked a full Scottish breakfast and it was delicious. We were unable to make breakfast on our 2nd day due to such an early morning but Jane was kind enough to make us a to-go baggie with scones and jam, cheeses, and chips for the road which we were so so grateful for. The location is absolutely gorgeous being surrounded by hills and right by a field with sheep and cows to watch. Only wish we could have stayed longer and would love to visit again in the future!

Very well kept, the owner is really a nice person and thy the best to make you feel comfortable, the room was very well cleaned, breakfast nice (the owner asks you what you like to eat the day before). Very nice position if you want to enjoy Loch Ness and some other place nearby (e.g. Glenfinnan viaduct just 1h30). I advice to visit it!
The water of the bathroom was challenging, in the end you have to decide if you want pressure or warm water. Anyway, I’m sure the owner will fix it in the future. Considering the end of the season (pretty much out of it), the price was a little high.

It is close to the Loch Ness and not a very far drive from Inverness, but tucked away down a lane so it is very quiet and picturesque. There are sheep in the paddock in front, beautiful views down to the loch and of the valley, and all the colorful trees and greens in front. Also the beds were ABSOLUTELY amazing. I was there for a marathon and got THE BEST sleep the night before and after, thanks to the luxurious bed and bedding.
