Nice room (Mazunte bungalow) if a bit spartan with a beautiful ocean view and nice private patio. AC and fans in the room. Black out blinds in bedroom. Hot water in shower. Nice common areas. Good breakfast and the restaurant had good food in a lovely setting. Staff who are learning and trying to please.
Location…small beach a short walk away but other than puerto Angel (a local working fishing village) there is nothing within walking distance. Car is necessary. Not for mobility challenged…lots of stairs, difficult to access by foot or car. Room lacked basic amenities….drinking water, coffee maker, coffee upon arrival although repeated requests saw this eventually rectified. Strange bathroom layout (toilet area was not fully enclosed). CONSTRUCTION…from 7am to 5pm. We could not use our balcony as the construction noise and loud music directly below our unit was really really disruptive. Depending on the room location there will be an impact. No advance warning or price adjustment regarding construction. Note: property seems to be a work in progress. We could see the possibilities but at the moment everything is a bit hit and miss. No help with bags to and from room.

Spacious clean room
Clean water (rare in Mexico)
Nice view
Surrounded by big construction sites. Even on Saturday/ Sunday they were working. Very nosy at times.
Lower pool inoperable. Green slur. Didn't even bother to fix it.Some other guests were also making jokes if there would be anything going on. Seemed broken for some time since a big piece of plank was missing.
Breakfast was sometimes after 8. First day quality wise a joke. On Sunday decent.
Room for improvement: I enjoyed the playlist very much. But many times it seemed as if someone had the phone in their pocket and running out of connection. Very erratic.

The view is wonderful. The apartment / bungalow style rolls are really luxury. The staff are super helpful. It’s kind of an unusual set up which might not work for everyone but was great for us. You have your beautiful room with private balcony and great view. You have use of terrace and infinity pool (in our case, this is where we hung out because there were very few other guests). Plus the other thing is the Case Roni motto - Don’t Be Shy - by which they mean: you want it need something, ask and we’ll f sort it if we can. Boat trips, taxis, food, or take away delivery from local business etc. They do this without marking up. Great service. The bar and restaurant upstairs is also pretty good.
There’s quite a lot of construction going on in this little bay. Fortunately the construction was low tech and therefore not too noisy. There isn’t much to do in Estacahuite if that’s your thing. We were very happy hanging out by the pool and doing some snorkelling from the beach but for more, you need to take a short taxi into Zipolite or other towns. The restaurants on Estacahuite beach are also not great and charge a premium because they are the only snorkelling beach in the area. Can highly recommend the dolphin tour arranged through the hotel

Casa Roni is the perfect getaway! Nestled by the sea, it offers a truly relaxing atmosphere. The showers are the best I’ve ever experienced—refreshing and invigorating and with lots of sunlight shining through. The drinks, especially the smoothies, are top-notch and a must-try.
The staff is amazing, always friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. A special shoutout to Milky, the cutest hotel dog, who greets everyone with a wagging tail and adds to the warm, welcoming vibe.
Nothing at all

Very attentive staff, Breathtaking view from any where in the facility, access to sister hotel and breakfast included. Huge suite located down some stairs.
There isn’t anything to dislike. People just need to be aware that it’s not easily accessible without a car. Also, their kitchen may close early.

Nice young team makes you feel like on a holiday :-)
Comfortable rooms - breakfast all good (not so professional but sweet)… the upper hotel has a good vibe, downstairs feels empty…the team are nice people- some need more training…beach closely for snorkelling
It are 2 hotels of the same owner glued to each other. You enter upstairs with a good vibe, than they tell you to go down, outside via the street? You end up in a cold and ugly office space, there is the check in :-( Than you are send down in the lower hotel, almost an empty feeling…easy fix would be a nice entrance counter upstairs and a direct staircase to the lower hotel. Maybe just one name - one hotel? Now you had to go on the street and up to have breakfast?…like I said- easy to do it all better …good luck team to explain the owner! One hotel - internal staircase (suggestion of an architect:-)
Beach area down the hill still suffers drastically from previous storms - needs still a lot of work

The hotel offers amazing views of the bay of Playa Estacahuite. A super romantic place to be with your partner, and the food offered in the restaurant was really good as well! The bed and sheets were really comfortable, and the toilet even had a bidet! We got a free upgrade to one of the bungalows as it was low season, and I booked a massage that was done on the private deck in front of the sea. An amazing experience!
The included breakfast was ok, but not too healthy. I missed veggies and non-meat options.

This was our 2nd time to Casa Roni and it was just as good as the first. We loved it so much the first time we went that we booked another 2 nights at the end of the trip. The staff is wonderful, the view is breathtaking and the rooms are very comfortable and stylish. We will be back. It felt like a home away from home.

The rooftop palapa with hammocks was the best part of the house. Beautiful views of the bay and a cool, refreshing breeze made it a perfect place to read or do yoga. Playa Estacahuite is the star attraction of this little 3 beach bay with calm, clear water ideal for a swim and snorkel and to spend the afternoon relaxing.
The pool was really disappointing:( The water was dirty and it was poorly maintained. The pumps were never turned on which made the water stagnant and cloudy. No lights in or around the pool at night. No other guests used the pool including myself. This is not a hotel; minimal services, minimal staff. Important to note that the restaurants on the beach close at sunset so eat early as the walk to Puerto Angel is along a highway and unsafe to walk at night.

the room was very chic and the view incredible
the spot the house is in is a tiny bit built up - but the views to the ocean more than make up for it

The unit is beautiful, very clean, very nice furniture and design of both your room and the overall building. There is a shared pool and dining area, as well as rooftop area. There is an on-site chef - which is nice because there is not a lot in the immediately surrounding areas (although Puerto Angel is a short 10 min walk away). They have a menu for breakfast and dinner - both are excellent. We had multiple meals cooked by Miguel, and they were some of our favourites of the trip. My wife arrived with a bit of a stomach bug and felt healed by his good food!
The area surrounding is a bit rustic, but the beach that is a 5 min walk away is probably our favourite we've been to on the Pacific coast. Great snorkeling - as soon as you're 5 feet from the shore, you've got sights to see underwater, and a large protected cove with 3 bays gives you a nice calm but beautiful spot to swim and explore. A few small local restaurants on the beach that provide palapas to spend the day under when not in the water. Quiet, a bit rustic, but great.
The highlight of the Playa Estacahuite area is unsurprisingly the beach and the snorkeling. Puerto Angel is a short 10 min walk away, which has several restaurants and a nice beach as well. We took a taxi over to Zippolite a couple of days which was a ton of fun - but $200-300 pesos each way.
Wifi was also very good, you have access to a large shared kitchen, and a smaller kitchenette in your room. Everything was exceptionally clean. We had a brief ant issue which was resolved quickly and never returned. The pool needed a bit of work when we arrived, but was topped up and looking better by the time we arrived. When functional, it has an amazing view of the bay while you can lounge in or around the infinity pool.
Probably our favourite stop on our trip to Oaxaca - highly recommend, and would be a great place for groups to rent together.
Be prepared that this not a lot within walking distance - so come prepared. There is a kitchen to use, so just bring some supplies with you (snacks/drinks,food) and you'll be fine. Also the road down to the beach is quite steep - it was fine for us but could be a challenge for people with mobility issues. That said, they did offer the use of two scooters as well.

This place is really stunning. You can’t beat the view. It’s so we’ll decorated. The bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. There’s nothing better to falling asleep to the sound of waves. The suite we stayed in was very private. It’s a short walk to a gorgeous beach.
The kitchen could have been better equipped but the staff were very attentive to our recommendations.

The Villa is in a stunning location. Tucked away and with an amazing view. The room we stayed in was perfect. Peaceful, clean and extremely comfortable. Communication was also excellent and Miguel the house manager was very friendly and helpful. We loved our stay.
No negatives but the drive up to the house is in quite bad condition and the parking is a little tricky but manageable. Highly recommend having a car to be able to explore the local area and go to Zipolite which has great restaurants.

No tienen pan.
