This place is right on the beach which is lovely. Staff we absolutely awesome.

The bed was too firm and there is no air conditioning. For the price I would expect a bit more, but hey, you can roll out of the bed and onto the beach.

San Augustinillo beach is top tier and the ability to be right on it is a unique offering. Really liked my room. Given that you are right on the beach the waves are loud (which I found soothing), but other than that did not have issues with noise while sleeping.

The mosquito netting around the bed made the bed feel smaller than I expected.

Great location right at the beach, amazing view and friendly staff. Also very close to some nice restaurants / coffee places.

No real negative however keep in mind that you have some fishing boats right next to you at the beach. Once the fishermen return you do smell fish for a bit.

A relaxing escape in paradise

Clarisa, Jesus, April, and the whole staff were so welcoming and accommodating. From cooking us delicious breakfasts, to making us drinks by the beach, to calling us a taxi to the airport, we felt right at home from the minute we arrived and couldn't have been more relaxed by the time we left. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

Fantastic location right on the beach. Really beautiful and relaxing hearing the surf roll in. All rooms have a porch with hammock, and views of the water. It's really a pleasant, calm and private setting, and feels a little more upscale than other properties in the area. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive and the room was kept clean. A really good value.

The lack of A/C was a bit tough at this time of year (the hottest), though I guess that depends on one's personal level of comfort. Food and drink are provided independently, so guests need to settle their tabs (in cash) at least daily. It would have been nice to have one bill for my entire stay.

Located directly on the beach. You fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the Pacific. The Cabañas are spacious, well equipped and very clean. We loved that it was quiet and peaceful.

it’s one of the few places in Mexico with some authentic flavor. Lovely cabañas, warm water, wonderful view.

the only thing that could improve is the breakfast, maybe offering some more sweets, like simple biscuits or bread with home made marmelade would be a nice addition

Fabulous! All the staff were exceptional - friendly - always went above and beyond.

Location!!!! So close to the beach. Loved the beach chairs, umbrellas, and hammocks. Food from the restaurant on-site was amazing! Love seeing the local dogs running, playing up and down the beach each day.

No Air conditioning... understandable that A/C is not available due to the open concept. However, was really hot at night and hard to sleep. Also wish we could use credit card rather than cash, to pay for food and drinks.

Beautiful beach front area and deckchairs + umbrellas to use. Beach front bungalows look amazing, unfortunately we only got the family bungalow, which was directly in front of the road and next to a place where they emptied freshly caught fish. Hence, it was rather loud and sometimes a bit smelly. But: the view from the bathroom paid off.

Perfect!

Everything was perfect! From the amazing location right on the beach in San Agustinillo, the view from the room, the great food and drink service right to our comfortable beach chairs under the umbrellas (thanks girls, you looked after us very well!), the access to great swimming, the short walk to Mazunte, and the parking for our motorcycle!

We had a fabulous time at Punta Placer. The rooms are ON the beach, clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and goes out of their way to help you. Would you like coconuts? No problem, they found them for us. Would you like a taxi? No problem, called and immediate service. Food is great too. You can eat in the dining area, in your room or on the beach. They will bring it!

Definitely recommendable!

The location is awesome, staff very friendly, very nice and cozy hotel architecture and laid back area. Furthermore, a delicious breakfast is offered (not included). The beach is a highlight, especially for everybody who likes big waves.

Just as a good-to-know: you can pay the hotel only cash or via Paypal with extra fees 6% (plus PP conversion fees). But obviously common practice in that area.

excellent staff, service and location! The property was clean and well maintained. Awesome king size bed!

The furniture was very comfortable and the single bed was awful. It needs to be replaced.
