The view was stunning! The pool and lounge area overlooking the beach and horizon was unbeatable. Access to the shared kitchen was appreciated
We were told that we could have breakfast at the property on our second day but when it came to it we were told it wasn’t available

We loved it all. The view was stunning and we didn’t want to leave. The pool was lush and everything was spotless. We felt miles away from anywhere but it was really only a 15 minute walk to the beach down this jungle pathway which brought you out to a stunning part of San Agustinillo beach. Or else you can catch the little local bus into ‘town’ for 15 pesos which was super fun.
Being that bit further out meant that there was nothing around to go to eat so felt a bit trapped but they did arrange some local food to be delivered.
Only complaint would be that we asked for breakfast on a couple of days and they said they couldn’t do it for some reason which meant we had to go into town. Fruit and eggs shouldn’t be hard to get in so not sure what the problem was. Apart from that, absolutely no complaints.

The house is located on a hill, which provides a beautiful ocean view. There’s a swimming pool overlooking the ocean, and our room on the top floor had a terrace facing the ocean as well. The room is spacious and comfortable. The staff is friendly though if you don’t speak Spanish, it could be a challenge to communicate with them. Overall, great place to stay!
Since it is on a hill, one might find it difficult to get to the towns of San Agustinillo and Mazunte on foot. We walked down a few times, but once we found a taxi or collectivo, it was easy to go between the house and towns. It seemed many tourists rent a motorcycle as well.

Beautiful view
Poor reception from the staff, who couldn't speak a word of English. We had to hold the phone ourselves and translate. No smiles or welcoming attitude. Additionally, the two European owners live on the top floor, host private dinners in the common areas, and tend to "fill" the space, making it feel more like staying with a couple than at a 5-star hotel, as it is marketed on booking.com. It is important to emphasize, however, that the owners are friendly people.
Casa Cometa is more like a guesthouse/Airbnb, where you rent a room but do not have access to a shared kitchen, and you need to ask for permission to get things from the fridge. There are ants all over the room and it is not very well insulated.
Furthermore, the air conditioning does not work in the bathroom, making it extremely hot and humid after a shower. This particularly applies to the "Balcony Suite" where we stayed. Casa Cometa has the potential to be a really nice hotel, but it does not quite live up to expectations.
You need to rent a scooter, ATV or have a car for the Guesthouse to be a convenient accommodation as there is no other way to get there by taxi or walk through completely dark streets.

Beautiful views and very peaceful
It’s hard to get to, scooters or cars recommended. In-room mini refrigerators would be helpful.

That VIEW, out of this world. Pool is amazing. Rooms are spacious, clean and modern. (Opt for rooms 1, 2 or 3 for more privacy, the extra money is worth it)
The way down to town is a 15 minute walk and to get back up, taxi is easiest. Not complicated at all, but be aware.
There is a construction on the property next door, expect some noise during the daytime.
Staff is friendly, but not overly motivated. Them watching videos on their phones does not contribute to the tranquility guests seek. Suggestion: let the staff serve a couple of drinks, that way they are occupied and guests can get a cold beer or softdrink.

The views are absolutely amazing and the sunsets are spectacular, the house and rooms are beautifully designed and the beds are so comfy! Adolfo was also so kind to us, and made us feel welcome and at home.
San Agustinillo is beautiful, quiet and unspoilt
A short way out of the main town of San Agustinillo, so you need a taxi or to walk along the road - however taxis are easy to get, and it’s worth it to be up a bit higher and get the view.

The property is located just outside the village of San Agustinillo and is easily accessible by car. It overlooks the bay and the view from the room is astonishing. The swimming pool is really a plus. Good bed and all facilities working as expected. Breakfasts were available on site at extra charge of 200 Mxp for an American type. Adolfo is very kind and serviable.
At breakfast, some days milk or fresh juice were not available and we never could taste the Platana bread although included in the breakfast. Chorizo was also missing after 2 days. So, although we received fresh fruits, good coffee and eggs prepared as we wished, this service could improve. We stayed 4 night and the towels were not replaced although it was mentioned they were changed every 2 days.
We never saw the owner of the property and this may explain why they were these issues…

The view and position was peerless
What could’ve been better, right? The staff didn’t speak any English at all, and there was no way of getting any information from anybody at any time so it felt very unattended. They demanded tips at the end relentlessly which felt very inappropriate and rude. And we didn’t have hot water the whole time we were there.

Its not a hotel, more like a small Villa.
Stunning views on the Augustinillo bay from the pool and the rooms with view.
But also the other rooms are of great quality and you can see the sea.
Well designed and comfortable rooms.
Good breakfast.
Personnel very helpful.
Its 30 min walking in humid heat to the beach, better bring car or moto.
Creditcard payment has 6% surcharge

stylish, spacious and clean
small things.. Check in and information could be more comprehensive. Any local information on eating etc also v helpful. The staff piling cushions onto the furniture
at 6.30pm making us feel like we should be in our room only.

Amazing view and very friendly staff. Very clean pool.
We loved how set back from beach the property is. Not a setback but a comment that beach isn’t walkable so recommend renting a scooter or 4-wheeler (which we did and loved).

The house exceed my expectations in terms of view and quietness. We spend 3 nights there and I only wished we stayed a few nights longer. The staff was sweat and kind and full field all our needs. The room is super comfortable, the bed is big and the bathroom is large and full of room for clothes. Special thank you to Antonia and Adolfo
We noticed a lot of ants in the bathroom and clothe’s area in the first night. Also, the breakfast should be included in the price

We really enjoyed it. Especially loved Room #9. We will stay again for sure.
Only thing we would change is some more comfortable chairs in the common courtyard to hangout with our friends.

Breathtaking views from the swimming pool. the house, room and swimming pool are very comfortable. We upgraded to a larger room that provided the same view, that was definitely worth the money as the other room was much smaller and did not have the nice view
The staff could have been friendlier and the location is a bit far out of town so you need a scooter or car to travel around (but that’s easy to arrange in town)

view, room, location, pool, maintenance of property was amazing
there’s no food (except breakfast) and no cocktails at the hotel. you have to order delivery from town, which is not ideal when you want snacks poolside. also the staff are fine, but one male staff (who watches the property at night) sits on the couches and watched us while we were swimming; he was there every night enjoying the space right next to our room, or playing the radio in the kitchen right behind us while we tried to look at the stars. he turned it off when asked, but it really didn’t create a relaxing mood to have him there when we were otherwise the only couple sitting by the pool/and our room.
