The apartment was close to the town and the forest

Excellent apartment - perfectly clean, very comfortable and well equipped and well appointed. Although fairly compact, the apartment was larger than it looks from the photos and good use of space has been made. Helen, our lovely, friendly and helpful host had even provided a welcome pack of milk, bread, butter, eggs, cheese, ham, chocolates and crisps! The location was good , very near to the towns of Newcastle and Castlewellan, Tollymore Forest Park and the wondrous Mourne Mountains. We had a great week and the people of Northern Ireland are really friendly.
The only small downside is that Tollyrose apartment is next to a fairly busy, fast B Road which is a little noisy in the day, but gets very quiet at night. Other than that, everything was perfect.
