We stayed at Izz’man Homestay at Troika Kota Bharu for two nights at the beginning of our Malaysia trip, and it was a very comfortable and practical base for exploring the city. The apartment is located high up,33th floor, in the Troika building, with a great view over Kota Bharu. After a long journey via Dubai and Kuala Lumpur, it was wonderful to arrive somewhere spacious, quiet and comfortable. The swimming pool was a real bonus and one of the things we appreciated most during our stay, especially in the heat. The location worked very well for us. Kota Bharu felt very local and not especially touristy, which made the experience more interesting. From the homestay we explored local markets, food stalls and shopping areas, and we enjoyed seeing a side of Malaysia that felt very different from Kuala Lumpur and the islands. The apartment was a good place to rest between our walks around the city. Having more space than in a standard hotel room made a big difference after long travel days, and the building itself felt modern and convenient. We also appreciated how easy it was to continue our journey from here. Before leaving for Kuala Besut and the Perhentian Islands, we arranged a driver for 100 RM, and the homestay was a practical starting point for the transfer. For travelers who want a comfortable apartment-style stay in Kota Bharu, with a pool, a breathtaking city view and a convenient location, Izz’man Homestay is best choice!
