We had a comfortable nights stay in this beautiful rural location.

The location was a beautiful, rural and peaceful. We liked the pond with the duck, hens and goats. The little cottage was lovely with facilities for making a light breakfast.

The ladder stairs up to the loft bedroom was fine for us but would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues.

Location was amazing and the cottage was very cute. The cottage fairly clean and bed very cosy.

Not enough facilities - 1 and a half of toilet roll given, 1 tea towel, no sponge for the dishes, or kitchen roll. No brush, mop or cloths provided. If something spilled or needed to wipe something, we had to use toilet roll we barely had. The dishes provided were dirty. I rinsed a glass for my water and pour the water in and it turned yellow. No sponge to properly wash dishes. The milk in sachet provided were out of date - dated November 2024 and February 2025. Good I checked as I nearly used it. Barely any packets of sugar too. There is a key in one of the doors and it opens to the other cottage. Easy to enter other cottages as our neighbours also had the key. Very dangerous if you get sketchy neighbours. For £265 it’s expensive and you only pay for location.

The cottage needs a clean

Liked the look of cottage and really enjoyed the proximity to local amenities, the hot tub was great and very private...

The cottage needs deep clean, the cutlery holder was really dirty and when changing bin bag noticed rubbish and dirt at bottom of bin... In shower there was half bottle of shampoo left, I looked for hairdryer in drawers in bedroom, and to my horror found an unwrapped sanitary towel in one drawer, did not look to see if it was used or not🙄also in the other drawer was condom lube... Don't need to see or know what last couple were doing.. Not good enough, I paid 200 quid night for this cottage, made me question what was actually cleaned or not.. Gross and unacceptable for money charged.. BTW never found hairdryer...

Cozy cottage getaway

The cottage is just very quaint and cozy, it's my 2nd time staying, 1st time I stayed with friends, but thought it would me nice for my husband and I to stay, so I booked for our 10th wedding Anniversary, we had a lovely relaxing stay and the hot tub was an added bonus, well be back very soon.

Friends reunion

Such a fab atmosphere- easy to book/check in. Hot tub was added bonus as booked Primrose cottage. Easy parking right beside cottage. Beds comfy, extra towels left out.

Needs few more seats in living area which I understand is being sorted. Pub across the way is dead handy but food just ok. Good option though.

the owner offered us to stay in one of her brand new Shepards huts instead of the cottage! , we’ve stayed in the cottage before and it was amazing really oldy worldly with a huge fire place and lots of stone work. the Shepard’s hut had a hottub and was very cozy inside , would 100% recommend. + all the staff are so accommodating and lovely , super friendly people!

We arrived only to find out how ever it happened that the night i had booked for had changed.. the lady sorted us out so that we could then stay.. only if you are young and fit you can use the stairs... that aren't in the pictures.. sofa bed is not comfortable.. and then we were asked for more money to be left in an envelope..

Jewel in the Crown of South Armagh

Beautiful little cottage tucked at the foot of Slieve Gullion. Everything you needed for a self catering stay. If you don't want to cook excellent restaurant and takeaway service less than 5 minutes walk away. Definitely be back.

Wi-Fi code didn't work & instructions on how to use the cooker. That is me being very picky as hosts on hand to answer questions.

June 22 stay - group of friends

The cottages were refurbished fantastically with some great features (e.g. wood cladding on ceilings). The beds were really comfy and the living rooms felt homely. The location was great especially if you want to be close to the Ring of Gullion. There is also a great pub 100 yards up the road that does lovely food and has a brilliant beer garden.

The stairs up to some of the rooms were steep, but they were ok for us.
