Old Lille - Lovely typical apartment!

La ubicación es estupenda en el centro de Lille. La restauración del espacio ha sido realizada con mucho gusto con la pared de ladrillo visto y las vigas restauradas. El aislamiento es estupendo. Tiene mucha luz y está muy limpio.

Que no indica que hay que subir tres pisos por escalera, los dos últimos de caracol. Esa escalera necesita una limpieza. Algunos elementos deberían ser revisados o renovados (lámparas, mando de ducha).

Lovely location at the heart of old Lille

Described incorrectly as having 2 bathrooms. Overhead sprinkler on shower was broken. As far as we could figure out there were no free-to-view tv channels - if there were a guide would have been helpful. Access from the landing was via 2 flights of narrow spiral staircase. For anyone with mobility issues this would present difficulties and I don’t recall this being mentioned in the property description. The Yale lock on the apartment door had been fitted upside down and because it had been left unlocked it too us quite a while to figure out that when we thought we’d unlocked the door when we turned the key clockwise we had in fact locked it.

Room was nice and cozy

The area is full of bars and it was super noisy at night. Secondly, there was a lot of stair to reach the room and made it difficult to currying our baggage there. Stairs was also super narrow

We hebben een aangenaam verblijf gehad in dit sfeervolle en karakteristieke appartement in het hart van Old Lille. De locatie is perfect: je zit op loopafstand van leuke cafés, restaurants en bezienswaardigheden. Het appartement zelf is gezellig, goed ingericht en van alle gemakken voorzien. De foto's wekken wel een andere indruk dan de realiteit.

Echter, de foto’s op Booking.com wekken een iets andere indruk dan de realiteit. De weg in het gebouw naar het appartement toe is bijzonder en het ruikt muf en naar rook van het cafe beneden. Ook de wenteltrap omhoog geeft denken waar ben ik beland. Daarnaast was er schimmel in de badkamer, en de regendouche werkte niet, wat erg jammer was. Met beter onderhoud zou dit een veel fijnere plek kunnen zijn. Desondanks een fijne uitvalsbasis voor een bezoek aan Lille!
