Comfort and convenience with breathtaking views

As a 2 - 3 star hotel, the Whitehouse exceeded our expectations. We liked many things to name a few: - We got a room on the 4th floor with a breathtaking view of Plovdiv. - 5 min walk from the Roman Stadium, the Mosque and Tourist Info office. - Big and clean bathroom, towels. - Extremely comfy bed, covers and pillows. - Carpeted floor and big TV set, enough sockets, lamp by the bed - hot water everytime of the day and AC which is crucial during cold winter days :)

There wasn't anything we didn't like, having in mind it is a 2 or 3 star hotel. Even if there was, the hosts were very hospitable, making our stay wonderful. For instance, the host provided us with extra small portable electric heater. There weren't any coffee cups (onky glasses) and electric ketel in the room, but when we asked, they kindly provided them. Moreover, there weren't any programs on TV, but luckily we brought our lap top so we watched some movies during the night. The cupboard and small fridge were just outside of the room, but we didn't need them. The entry to the terrace is from the bathroom, but that was OK, since the view was marvelous.

A necessary pit stop

Very good communication with the hotel. We have arrived late in the night and we had all the necessary help to take the key and to go into our room. Enough space in the bathroom. Clean.

Parking difficult. Steep slope and narrow street. Very small room like dreaming in a wardrobe. No fridge in the room. Air conditioning making noise.

Disappointing

The staff we encountered were friendly. The location for the centre of town was good, although awkward to get to as the narrow road was blocked when we arrived. We never did find the secure parking & ended up in the street further down the hill.

We were allocated a room on floor 4. The decor was very dated. The bed itself was reasonably comfortable. The shower room was tiny but functional; however the light switch to turn on the light inside the shower room also turned on the light in the bedroom. Not ideal for toilet breaks in the middle of the night. Also, the room was an octagonal shape, with windows on 5 sides round the bed. The curtains did not cover all of the windows, so we would have been visible to all the neighbours whilst undressing at night, as well as having the street lights shining nto the room all night, & being woken by the sun at dawn. The wifi was very poor, even for the receiptionist who could not get the card machine to work. Luckily we had enough cash to pay instead.

The location was quite convenient. The park needed to be parked on the street. The size of both the room and bathroom was great. also, we loved the view.

There is no elevator in the hotel. the shower did not have a lot of pression.

Great!

The location is amazing, in the middle of the city. And you can park your car for free in front of the hotel. There is no park fee for that street. Personal is very kind. AC works well! The size of the room is good enough for 1-2 days for that price. Thanks a lot!

Extra bed (3rd person's bed in 2 people room) is not that comfortable for an adult.

Right in the heart of Plovdiv!

This was our second stay at the hotel, and once again, it exceeded our expectations. Everything was spotless, the staff were exceptionally friendly, and the location—right in the heart of Plovdiv—couldn’t be better. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily return again!

Excellent in many ways!

I am a frequent traveler, and I was amazed to find the White House hotel located in the center of the city, but in a very quiet and lovely area to be in a very reasonable price. The owner, the clerk, and the staff were excellent! They treated us as a family and made our stay pleasant. I would surely stay again in this hotel during my visit of Plovdiv. We liked the late checkin option, keys were left for us downstairs. The room was very spacious with was comfortable bed, bedding and towels very clean and fresh. It was very convenient for the purpose for our trip.

The general experience and cleanness was great, however bathroom is in need of renovation. Also room lacked some basic things like a kettle and the mini fridge was outside the room in the corridor. This was highly inconvenient for us, as we were traveling with the baby and needed to preparing formula milk at night.

Not up to standarts!

Hotel is in very convenient location and really close to the city centre which is a positive and also located on a quiet street. Pets are allowed which is also good.

The room we were in was extremely small with just a tiny free corner to put a suitcase in and that's all. The bathroom was also super super small to the point where we had to stay bent over to use the sink or toilet, otherwise you can't fit in. Moreover the shower drain was blocked and it took about 30 minutes for the water to drain, also the hot water was appearing and disappearing whenever it likes. Also at 1pm the main manager was drunk listening to loud music and playing some drums which doesn't really make a good impression to the guests does it?
