Location is excellent for walking to Cheltenham shopping area, the Brewery Quarter and only a few minutes’ walk to Lidl for supplies. Beds were really comfortable with lovely linen. It’s probably about 45 minutes’ drive to some of the Cotswolds villages, depending on roadworks and closures. The flat is warm and a good size, very clean. The carpark behind is convenient. Kitchen is very clean and has everything (except a dishwasher, but that didn’t matter to us). There is a combined washing machine/dryer and a clothes rack. Heated towel rail. Lots of power points for devices.
Lots of signs, notices and instructions everywhere, mainly safety and fire regulations. Living and dining furniture is green velour or something, serviceable, clean and comfortable enough but not attractive. As another reviewer has mentioned, the paint work could use a freshen up. If you sleep in the main bedroom, bring a sleep mask because the lights outside can’t be completely blocked out by the curtains as they don’t reach the floor. I pegged the curtains closed but the strong lights outside come in around the edges. I had a sleep mask so it didn’t really matter to me.

The appartment was very comfortable: modern and cosy. Kitchen had all we needed to prepare breakfast and warm up some dinner one evening. We loved the location - being so close to great restaurants, pubs and the Everyman Theatre. Also appreciated the parking - although it was not secured in terms of gated entrance. Easy access from the parking to the appartment which was in the basement but had sufficient light in the living room and one of the bedrooms. Lovely little decking area with a view of the neighbour's beautiful garden. Excellent communication with Fortuna Grounds - I would give them 11/10.
The crockery and cutlery was not clean and we re-washed anything we used. The outside furniture on the deck had not had a good wipe down for a while it looked like: but was easily remedied. The noise from the road was unpleasant: the windows are not double-glazed and even when they are completely shut, the busy road caused interrupted sleep for both of us. The one bedroom is dark as it doesn't allow much natural light in - however the second bedroom and living room and kitchen was light enough for us.

The apartment is sited close to the Brewery Quarter of Cheltenham where there are many 'high street' restaurants and bars. It was generally quiet, although you could hear other people moving around in the neighbouring apartment(s). Parking was good and a bonus for a city centre location. The apartment was spacious for the two of us.
The apartment appears tired and is in need of a good re-fresh. The painted walls could be re-painted to cover the marks and areas where paint has been chipped away. The heating system is via electric wall heaters - the one in the double bedroom didn't work each time it was turned on. Not sure what the problem was. The one in the lounge was efficient and soon warmed the room. Externally, the rear of the property is lit up at night, but the bedroom curtains are do not provide adequate cover against the windows to stop the outside light entering. The curtains are also difficult to pull together due to the height of the windows and the pole probably wants polishing so that the curtains slide more easily. The curtains in the front room are almost transparent and not long enough.
