The property is fine, but needs up keep and a proper clean. It is very basic, but comfortable enough if you are only the

We liked the location and the beds were comfortable. It was warm and the heating was timed well to be on in the day.

Unfortunately the property wasn’t very clean. The basics had been done - linen was clean, bathrooms wiped over, but the cupboards were filled with old food, drawers had dirty with dust and crumbs and the table had stained and grimey place mats and runner. Plates and cups were dirty and sat in wet pools of water in the cupboards. There is no dishwasher. A light bulb needed replacing in the lounge. There was a huge pile of bottles and cans by the back door, presumably from the previous guests. There was one towel per person and no hand towels provided. We also had to buy toilet paper as there was only one roll provided. All of this said, the contact person was responsive and apologetic and sent someone to change the bulb, which we appreciated.

Excellent accomodation

It was a lovely house all round and the bed was the best sleep I've had in a long time. I would definitely recommend it to a family stay or friends and can split the cost for better accommodation.

Wont be back as filthy and the worst I have ever encountered even when travelling through France

Location and parking

Smell of over bearing sweat and grease like it has been housing a lorry load of truck drivers!! Kitchen cupboards were filthy inside and out. No dishwasher. Filthy kettle. Filthy oven. Filthy floors. Back door needs replacing! filthy garden furniture garden not dog friendly at all or people friendly!! Stained mattress cover! Half empty can of energy drink found in the wardrobe and half empty water bottle found in the other wardrobe. Dirty wardrobe shelves. Disgusting and broken toilet seat, should be soft close too. Sofas greasy and I wiped down with a cloth which was black with dirt as was the stair bannisters. Towels smelt disgusting and I had to go and by my own. Dirty kitchen tea towel left hanging up when we arrived. No washing up sponges. Fridge freezer thermostat is broken as fridge was freezing food even on lower setting. Tv remote and tv unreliable to work. We had a good time as long as we weren't in the house.

Gorgeous home in Cheltenham

Gorgeous house in a great location. Generous size rooms, lovely decor and helpful support by the host over text message. It was great to be able to walk into town or head out for a run in nearby parks. We came for a girls catch up weekend and would book again. It was really good value.

The kitchen could be better equipped to make cooking easier, such as a mixing bowl and serving dishes. There was no dishwasher so we had to wash dishes before using them, because the clean by the guests before us wasn't good.

Great stay in a fab location perfect for exploring all that Cheltenham had to offer.

I would query the fact about it being a "Stunning" house as we felt it was a little neglected.

Easy access with the key code. Nice TV with good choice of channels. Easy access to the town centre and local supermarkets.

The photos on the website look nice. However the back of the house was ugly with damaged downpipes and badly filled in holes in the bathroom wall and is in serious need of a repair/repaint. The steps down to the cellar are dangerous and should be fenced off as they could be a trip hazard to a small child. The shower trap was disgusting, coated with other peoples matted hair and pubes. The shower extractor fan was coating in dust and the toilet seat had a big chip in it. The bins at the back and in fact all of the street, were overflowing and due to the hot weather the whole area stunk or rotting rubbish. The curtain rail fell out of the wall during the night and we had been nowhere near it. The house was unbearably hot at night and only one fan was supplied for 3 bedrooms. The owner disputed the fact and said there were 2 fans. This is incorrect as somebody else had raised the same concern about only 1 fan back in their review in August 2022. The house is in a very run down and unattractive area and we had to park the car 2 nights out of 3 in a different street due to the fact there were no spaces on our return at 6pm. When we ventured out in the evening there was lots of gangs of teens loitering about. However once we got into the town centre we felt a lot safer. After a 3 and a half hours drive down it was disappointing to have no welcome pack. A small bottle of milk and a few teabags or coffee would have been nice.
