Ok, but not 4 stars

Good location to visit the old town

Very touristy, with many tour groups staying at the hotel that shares the same facilities. Breakfast is reasonable, but the food is a bit basic and sloppy. The cold cuts are very thick, which gives it a rough feel. I ordered an omelet, which was good. The restaurant staff is attentive. The bed is comfortable. All in all it is more like a 3 stars.

Convenient for station and exploring Treviso.

Location was good for the station and within easy reach of town centre. The breakfast was ok, coffee at breakfast excellent! The bed is very comfortable. Nice bathroom and shower.

Room smaller than expected, no kettle or tea making facilities, lack of furniture on the room balcony, no hair conditioner provided.

Comfortable hotel in central Treviso with recently refurbished rooms. Close to a multitude of bars and restaurants. Far better than I had expected and really convenient for all my needs.

A negative ending to a generally positive stay

The property was clean and centrally located

We had a positive experience at Porta Altinia Suites until the end of the stay. We asked the staff on the front desk on our final night if we could check out later, as our flight wasn’t until later in the day and my wife is nearly 7 months pregnant. I expected them to say yes to one or two hours, as is standard at most hotels that are not overly busy. To my surprise the member of staff said we could stay as long as we pleased. I believe his exact quote was ‘daytime, nighttime, anytime’. We were quite surprised by this and asked again just to make sure we had heard correctly. The staff member then confirmed this to be the case again. Unfortunately, at 12pm the next day, I received a call from who I believe to be the hotel manager. He said we needed to vacate the room as soon as possible. I explained what had happened the night before and was essentially told that was not the case and I was lying. I understand that this may have simply been a case of miscommunication or misunderstanding, but the attitude of that member of staff after the event seemed to me to be quite rude and dismissive. I can accept the standard check-out time, but it would be nice to be treated with respect and not insinuated that I am lying. Another negative of this room is that the refrigerator is very loud and randomly makes noise in the evening.

Treviso trip

Staff were friendly and responsive. Especially the barista at breakfast. Very central location close to station. Enjoyed using the free bikes cycling the river path towards Venice. Also took a train ride to Padua which was well worth it.

A few steps away from the centre, modern rooms and paid parking for your car.

A five minute walk (or less) to the centre was great. Comfortable secure outdoor car park. Nicely renovated room with great sound-proofing.

There is no restaurant even though it's advertised on site and booking.com. Breakfast was average, a cooked option would be a nice touch, like option to order omelette or something similar.

Great, friendly and helpful staff. Hotel in the very centre of the town. Close to the train station, and close to the Piazza dei Signori. A bit smaller than previously room, but clean, comfortable and with fantastic terrace.

-I am usually picky, but this hotel was amazing! The breakfast was great, same every day but it is various so you never get bored. - the location is perfect 3 minutes away from central station. -had our own spacious balcony - comfy beds and very modern decor -bathroom was equipped with everything needed I simply love it and would go back

Nice modern hotel room, it seems to be a new annex to the Carlton Hotel where reception is and where you get breakfast, not sure if the rooms in there are are the same standard. Good location short walk to old town and close to train station for day trip to Venice. Perfect for a couple of nights.

No bar or room service and the breakfast was poor. Also no big deal but just to mention there are no international TV channels

Didn't know that this hotel is joined with the Carlton hotel. Didn't like the fact that you have to go to Carlton hotel for breakfast, cheap food and bad service.

Clean hotel in average location

Modern rooms.

Reception staff were not helpful or friendly (excepting the last lady who checked us out). For example when I asked for a recommendation for a quick dinner the concierge made me feel like he was annoyed I was asking such a silly question. The woman who checked us in was also quite unfriendly and rude so this just made the whole stay quite negative. The hotel is also advertised as porta suites but the sign is actually Carlton Hotel. It is right next to the train station and lacks personality.
