Hotel Vauban

Breakfast was fine always limited for me as a vegan especially in France so have to accept certain limitations The hotel is right on the water front with public parking nearby with helpful directions from the staff the patron. Small and bijou it is a little gem in the heart of Besancon old town

Comfortable and friendly small hotel in the centre of town. Great setting. Excellent breakfast. Monsieur was very helpful.

WiFi unpredictable. Sometimes took a while to get it or was refused because unsecured.

Great position overlooking river, very helpful manager, close to all the shops. They did send a description of who to drive there, anyone wishing to do so should read it carefully.

Room was quite small, but with wonderful view, internet was not strong enough, but just about worked (filling out the Covid forms, I just about managed).

The hotel is in the center of the city, our room overlooked the river, the view could not have been nicer. The proprietor was very helpful and welcoming. A great breakfast, and a very stylish room.

Very centrally located, in short walking distance to anything of interest. Very friendly and welcoming owner, explaining how to get around in town (even by car, what is actually quite challenging) and booking a boat tour for us at very short notice.

Comfortable room, but tram station directly in front and thus a bit noisy. Breakfast despite little variety pretty average and unfortunately the fresh milk was completely sour. The food in the restaurant La Coudée is ok, but nothing extraordinary.

Warm welcome Excellent location in the old city Comfy room with aircon Arriving by car, set your GPS on Pont Battant or Eglise Sainte Madeleine where you will find several short term parking spots (livraison). The hotel is literally across the bridge, 200m away. Free parking at Parking Robelin, 6-7 min walk up from the hotel. (seems plenty of free parking is available around the Vauban defenses at Quartier Battant)

Hotel is hard to reach by car

Classique et moyen pour les produits. Une personne virevolte de table en table pour servir ici un bol d'eau chaude, là une cuillère de chocolat en poudre...

Améliorer le libre-service. Thermos d'eau chaude, de lait. Je cherche à dormir dans un hôtel. Or la nuit fut pluvieuse et les ruissellements de toiture au dessus des deux fenêtres tombaient sur la zinguerie horizontale des tablettes de fenêtres. Le bruit accompagnait l'intensité des chutes de pluie. Au passage, les montants verticaux en bois des "chiens assis" pourrissent sur leur embase malgré un placage en zinc sur dix centimètres de haut.

Zentrale Lage, direkt in der Nähe von allen Kneipen und Restaurants. Wer mit dem Auto anreist sollte einfach im der öffentlichen Parkgarage Pasteur parken Hat 24 Stunden geöffnet ist günstig und man kann gerade die 200 Meter zum Hotel rüberlaufen.

Kleines Hotel in zentraler Lage. Gut geeignet um die Stadt zu erkunden. Freundliches Personal. Zimmer laut aber OK. Beide Restaurants waren geschlossen, aber die Innenstadtnähe bietet gute Alternativen. Günstiger öffentlicher Parkplatz ca. 250m entfernt.

Mehrere Straßenbahnlinien führen in ca. 10m Entfernung am Hotel vorbei. Daher sehr laut. Zimmer zur Flussseite sind wahrscheinlich besser. Rezeption ist nur zeitweise besetzt. Ein Hinweis zur Parkplatzsituation im Vorfeld wäre gut gewesen.

la taille de la chambre et le prix trop élevé pour ce que c'est. Le tarif affiché de la chambre est moins élevé que celui que j'ai payé. Ce n'est pas très normal que le client paye les frais de booking.

Surcoté, cet hôtel ne vaut pas 3 étoiles. Chambre petite, lit 140, manque d'entretien (salle de bains : calcaire sur flexible, fond des toilettes !!!, joint douche). Linge de lit : des tâches sur l es traités d'oreiller et sur le drap de dessus. Petit déjeuner : il restait 3 mini croissants secs, et pourtant que 7h45/8h..

Zentrale, beste Innenstadt-Lage. Wegen Zufahrtsbeschränkung und direkter Lage am Ufer des Doubs nachts sehr ruhig, Preisgünstiges Parkhaus. Hotel fußläufig in 300 Metern erreichbar. Zimmer modernisiert. Erweitertes Frühstücksbüffet. Preisleistungsverhältnis absolut in Ordnung!

Französisches Bett mit einer Zudecke. Breite 140 cm, ideal für frisch Verliebte. Man kann deswegen aber nicht die ganze Altstadt umbauen.

Ce que j'aurais souhaité :un bon fauteuil dans la chambre. Un salon plus vaste avec un bar Ne pas perdre cet atmosphère paisible non ostentatoire de cet établissement

La posizione abbastanza centrale vicino al museo delle Belle Arti e la presenza di un supermercato a pochi passi dall'hotel.

All'arrivo in hotel, con una temperatura esterna di 39°, nella hall percepiamo un caldo insopportabile dovuto all'assenza di qualsiasi tipo di refrigerazione dell'aria. Appena salite in camera con nostro disappunto constatiamo l'assenza in bagno del piatto doccia. Quest'ultima era infatti a filo pavimento, mancante di qualsiasi protezione (box, tenda) che evitasse l'allagamento del resto della stanza pur essendo stata da noi usata con la massima cautela. Infatti a nostra insaputa c'era stata assegnata una stanza per persone diversamente abili. Fatto presente il nostro disagio al gestore ci siamo sentite rispondere che le stanze familiari, la nostra una era tripla, equivalgono a stanze per persone disabili e ci saremmo dovute adattare alla "doccia all'italiana". Dopo aver contattato il servizio assistenza di Booking, il gestore ci ha proposto un cambio con una singola e una doppia con una integrazione a nostro carico di 40 euro a notte. Ritenendo di non dover corrispondere un ulteriore importo, avendo già saldato il pernottamento per 3 notti all'arrivo, abbiamo rifiutato il cambio facendo notare che all'atto della prenotazione non era stata affatto indicata la tipologia di stanza destinata alle persone disabili che noi avremo categoricamente scartato. Il gestore ha sostenuto che da una foto del bagno si poteva capire la caratteristica del tipo di doccia ed è stato irremovibile nel non prendere atto del nostro disagio. Altro aspetto negativo è stato il cattivo funzionamento dell'aria condizionata...abbiamo sofferto il caldo sia la notte che il giorno. Fatto presente al gestore ci ha risposto che il tecnico da lui chiamato ha sostenuto che ciò fosse normale a causa delle alte temperature esterne. Naturalmente nei locali del resto della città gli impianti funzionavano perfettamente... Dulcis in fundo: al check out anziché fornirmi una fattura per il servizio reso il gestore mi ha consegnato una nota provvisoria.
