The room was great! The staff were very friendly and helpful. I also appreciated having a parking space. The location in the city center of Besançon is perfect.

The parking space was a bit small, but it was very convenient to have one. Overall, everything was perfect. I really appreciated the comfort, the cleanliness, and the overall quality of the stay.

One night

Excellent staff, great location, rooms are comfortable, very comfortable bed. Continental type breakfast with good options. Self serving eating area. Option to have small appetisers and drinks in the reception area. Parking space limited, you must ask for a parking spot upon reservation. Otherwise, several parking lots are available at walking distance from the hotel.

We love the hotel, is relaxing, location is excellent. Nothing to dislike.

A worn hotel

Nice location.

Disappointing stay. The hotel is aged and noticeably worn. The room was not clean, with multiple stains on the couch - we did not dare to touch it. Airconditioning was also very old and not working properly. Note that there is very limited parking space. Good to call in advance to check availability as we were notified that there wasn’t (after booking) when we were trying to reserve.

Aircon didnt work in any of the two rooms we booked The rooms got uncomfortably hot Breakfast was not as good as at other French hotels

A good find in the heart of the city

Nice location in a quieter part of town, but still close t everything. Room was spacious and felt homely.

Sadly, there was no bar or area to sit and enjoy a drink or food. Breakfast was good value but a little basic.

Besançon is Worth a Visit

Our room was small but comfortable, air conditioning a real plus in the summer heat. The hotel is well located to walk around Besançon.

Parking at hotel was limited and breakfast was a little underwhelming.

Nice visit of a town located in a deep valley and high mountains with nice buildings and museums.

Besancon as a city is always worth visiting. Nice decoration ideas in the hotel. Different locations are within the hotel arrangement. Our time was a bit to short to have the full experience of Besancon.

The breakfast could be extended for German styles. You have to orientate yourself very well to find back to the hotel, as the streets look nearly the same. Please book a parking space directly in front of the hotel in advance.

Disappointing initially.

The room was relatively spacious.

The ground floor room we were allocated on arrival was gloomy (one small window looking into parked cars) and painted an odd brown colour, with a free standing air conditioner, on the corridor leading to the bike storage. Generally the room bore little resemblance to the King room photos shown on the website. It was only when we declined to accept it that we were allocated a room with plenty of light and ducted aircon more like the website photos. We had also hoped for off street parking but with only ten car spots this did not eventuate. Street parking is metered, max three hours.

Repurposed older building in the old part of the city.

The room was small, but comfortable. The bathroom was OK but the shower leaked on the floor as the door didn’t close properly, making it slippery to get out. The position was good close to the citadel and the centre-ville. Parking was good, and the downstairs breakfast and relaxation area were fun.

Great location for a city stay

Excellent breakfast choice in a lovely large restaurant and easy walking distance to restaurants in the evening. The location to walk into the old town and up to the Citadelle is perfect and the ability to pre book a car parking space was great.

Our room in the annex was dark and on a rainy night noisy as people stood around outside under an awning.

Lovely staff, Great location, Beautiful building, Fantastic breakfast, Clean & Tidy rooms.

Staff were great, returned sunglasses which I left in reception (Morgane brilliant at keeeping me informed) by post back to UK. Breakfast was great lots of choice, fresh pastries, eggs, cured meat & cheese. Building has very intersting architecture, location perfect for local restuarants, good bar service at reception, room clean & tidy. Parked right outside reception, would recommend booking inadvance as slightly limited. Perfect one night stop off on the way to the Alps. Would recommend a more than one night stay, we will use again! Excellent value!
