About this cottage rental
Castaway Cottage is a stylish, and cosy, yet spacious, well equipped cottage with plenty of off road parking which has been finished and furnished to a high standard. It benefits from a stunning wildlife garden leading down to a stream where you can find a wide variety of local wildlife including, if you are lucky, kingfishers, egrets, barn owls and the occasional otter. The cottage enjoys a tranquil location in the fabulous rural village of Itteringham, with local walks in all directions, and is great to visit any time of year to appreciate what every season has to offer.
The cottage originates from the 1850’s, is built of red Norfolk brick with a pantile roof, and has been extended and refurbished to provide all modern conveniences. Castaway Cottage will sleep 6 very comfortably and comprises a large kitchen and dining area, shower room and lounge downstairs with three good sized bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. The cottage has been updated in 2022 with the addition of a 7kW Electric Vehicle charging point and two new seating areas by the stream in the garden.
The excellent Walpole Arms and village shop/cafe/post office are each a few hundred metres away. The cottage is perfectly situated to enjoy all that North Norfolk and the Broads has to offer. Blickling Hall and Aylsham are a 10 minute drive away and the lovely popular market town of Holt (7 miles) the North Norfolk coast (9 miles) and the Cathedral City of Norwich and the Broads (a 30 minute drive) are all within easy reach.
