Bien situé par rapport au lac. Endroit calme. Appartement spacieux.

Manque d'accessoires dans la cuisine: bols, cafetière, bouilloire, notices explicatives des appareils.

The view is incredible and I enjoyed being above the touristy part of town and felt more local. The hosts were incredibly helpful and positive and kind (including shuttling us up to the property by Vespa!!)

At the time while we were there, there was a heat wave and the ac was not working, so it was a little warm in the apartment (although leaving the windows and screens open at night helped)

Everything from the host to the actual stay. Can be a bit of a trek to get back to after going down to the main Varenna area however there is a night bus from 7pm to 12pm which will take you back up free of charge.

The apartment was spacious and had a nice view overlooking the area. The municipality-operated evening shuttle was helpful for getting back from town at night.

The check-in experience was extremely frustrating. Despite being told an early check-in around 2 PM might be possible, we ended up waiting outside the building until almost 4 PM before we could comfortably use the apartment. We had to coordinate with cleaners and wait outside the door. There is no reception, luggage storage, or staff on-site, so we had to leave our bags unattended and wait outside in the sun. The location is also inconvenient. Reaching the property from Varenna station required a long, steep uphill walk with luggage, and taxis were difficult to find. During our stay, we found ourselves planning our days around avoiding multiple climbs back to the apartment. The apartment itself was very basic. The shower had nowhere to place toiletries, hot water ran out after one shower, and the water heater made a loud screeching noise that the host was unable to explain or immediately investigate. Communication regarding the check-in delay and maintenance concerns was not particularly helpful.
