Lovely stay, would book again.

Great house and location for visiting Alnwick, very well equipped. Comfortable beds.

The noise from the road outside, which I appreciate isn’t the property’s fault, but it was noisy every morning from 5am.

We had a lovely short break at Baileygate house in Alnwick and would highly recommend.

We loved the house with all we needed for our stay and more and Fiona just a phone call away if we needed any help. A great base for exploring the surrounding area with it’s lovely walks beaches and castles. Plenty of history within walking distance of the house too with St Michael’s Church at the top of the road, the castle and gardens at the bottom and the little Baileygate museum in between. Local pubs and restaurants also within walking distance. We liked Di Sopra and Mumbai.

A good stay with family celebrating my sons 40th birthday

The location was very good. Easy to park and leave the car near the property. Very Easy walk into and around Alnwick, shops castle and some good walks. Also drove to the coast which was also within a good distance to drive for the day.

Central location and a lovely property to spend leisure time in. The wood burning stoves created a cozy, warm environment and a large kitchen/dining area is ideal for families.

House had everything you needed ,location was good.

The single bed in the small bedroom was un comfortable,piece of wood was broken off it laid under the bed ,mattress did not fit and you could not close the door. Only other issue was the parking ,even though you are given a permit there was never any available parking till night time so had to park away from the property and move it later on .

Unfortunately the colourful living room rug ‘rode up ‘ in 2 places, despite straightening it out.

Home away from home

Beautiful house, a home away from home feel. Has everything you need. Great location Alnwick Castle is at the bottom of the road a few steps away and so is town/resturants/shops. Fiona the owner was lovely and made sure you had all the information that you needed before arriving and is very quick and help about answering questions.

Comfortable and cosy in a great location.

This home was a perfect location and set up for us. We were very comfortable for a week, everyone slept soundly and we were happy to come back to this lovely home after busy days exploring. Great location to walk into town and the castle. Will definitely be coming back!

The bath was out of order at the time which was hard with a toddler. Otherwise it was perfect!

After a busy week of sight seeing in London and Edinburgh it was the perfect place to relax and bum around Alnwick!!

An incredibly charming, well maintained property! Perfect location for a walk along a tree-lined street. Easy access to the castle and downtown Alnwick.

Great place to stay

Everything was lovely at the house...everything we needed and Fiona was very helpful with messages, letting us know the house was ready a little earlier, sorting out baby items and places to visit etc. We attended a fabulous wedding at the treehouse so didn't get to spend too much time around Alnwick and plan to revisit soon to see more of the beautiful Northumberland area and wonderful hospitality...such a friendly place.

Just a very small issue was the rush to strip six beds and leave by ten o'clock... hopefully covid restrictions will be lifted soon.

New to this property but very impressed. Enjoyed a relaxed comfortable stay with full amenities.

Excellent location. Easy access and parking. Clean and well maintained. Tastefully decorated. Loved the tiled floors. Well stocked. Pleasant outside seating area, although painting brickwork white would brighten. Comfortable large beds. Good communication from owner.

Insufficient towels and toilet rolls. Toilet roll holder needed securing. Grandchildren too old for bunk beds but we were aware ! Suggest upgrade of lounge to conform with the rest of the house, as it seemed a little dated

Lovely owners who were very helpful. The location is really great and easy parking on the street. The cottage itself is well equipped and cosy. Plenty of room and very comfortable. We will definitely be returning.
