Wonderful location

It was in a great location in the old town slightly removed from the noise.

You must be prepared to climb up four floors on a medieval spiral staircase. It was actually fun, but could possibly be dangerous as well.

Perfect for Lyon Old Town

Wonderful, stylish and well-designed large studio apartment in a characterful old building. Very comfortable bed. Very clear instructions and quick responses from the host. There are a lot of stairs but they are an authentic feature and rather impressive! The location in the old town is perfect for exploring and eating out, and also less than 30 minutes walk from Lyon Perrache station. We would definitely want to stay again if we ever return to Lyon.

Perfect hideaway in Vieux Lyon

The location was outstanding, perfectly nestled in Vieux Lyon. The room had everything I needed, especially the en-suite laundry, with the bonus of the charm of being a recently remodeld studio set in what was clearly a stone building of some considerable age.

As much as i appreciated the authenticity of the beautiful stone staircase, by the end of the fifth night I was ready not to be climbing them any more. And while there is no AC, the windows can open to provide significant cross ventilation, and the fan provided definitely made things more comfy.

Nice experience

Very authentical building. Nicely decorated, good location, equipped with what you need, close to the Metro station. Easy to acces the location and easy to do the check in.

If you are a light sleeper, take into consideration that all the noices can be heard from the windows across (you must sleep with the windows open because there is no Ac in the building) and at 7.30 am the bells of the Chapel across ring.

Super cute and comfy, perfect location

Perfect location, smooth communication with host, all amenities needed for a few days, very authentic little studio flat across from a church, it was super charming and cute

The only thing to note, but there is not much to do from the host side is that the building is really authentic and historical, so you have to go on foot 4 floors up, so be aware of going with small kids. But from the viewpoint of the property everything was nice!

The location was perfect. Having a washing machine as well as being supplied with clothes washing powder was a great help.

Good location, room with character and helpful hosts - though they didn’t solve our problem with the shower.

The shower was useless, couldn’t stay up or at the correct angle. Bathroom facilities altogether looking pretty tired and there were ants too. Missing a second coffee cup and no washing up liquid (though this got replaced very quickly when we enquired).

it makes you feel as if you are part of Vieux Lyon. A home away from home.

the location and the apartment were both amazing. it’s very close to the main attractions in Vieux Lyon, so everything is walking distance. additionally the fact that it had a small kitchen really helped, if we were too tired to eat outside.

there was not something I didn’t like. the only minor thing was all the stairs to the room as it lies on a 4th floor. but honestly with everything that you walked in the city a couple of stairs don’t make any difference. however, i think it would be important to include it in the description especially for people who might have mobility issues.

Nice apartment but too complicated for a short stay

Perfect location in the old town in an authentic building. Very quiet area at night which allowed us to sleep with the windows open (it was 35 degrees outside and no airco so this was needed). Also despite the heat it remained nice and fresh.

Check-in is very complex for a short stay. Two day in advance (when I was already travelling) I got the info that I had to make a deposit on some website. If not you don't get the check-in instruction. Once you get the check-in instructions (which are not fully accurate as the name on the mailbox in which there is the keybox is not there), you can enter he apartment but after that you still need to take pictures of the place and upload these to another website. For check-out you have to do this again. It is not too bad, but requires you to check your e-mail a lot, and spent a lot of time to inspect the apartment on arrival (not something you want to do for a short stay). To make it worse the WiFi did not work so uploading the pictures was also not easy. Apparently the WiFi is a general problem as there is some trouble shooting info on the door, we followed this, but it still did not work. After that we gave up as fixing the WiFi is not what I came to do in Lyon.

The below didn't bother me as it was only two nights stay for a single but - no view outof the windows - staircase pretty old and may be uncomfortable for less fit people or if you have large luggage - no airconditioning (the weather was fine at that time so i had no problem)

Tolle Altbau Unterkunft für einen schönen Wochenendttrip!

Altbau und historisches Gebäude, die Lage war sehr zentral (direkt an der Altstadt angrenzend), auch bei 38 Grad Celsius Außentemperatur war es überraschen angenehm in der Unterkunft
