8 / 10Excellent·Oct 2026
Good location in the old centre of Lyon. Nicely renovated apartment. Smoke alarm that actually functioned Well equipped kitchen with a good full sized induction hob .
All pervading smell of tobacco smoke. It came from a powerful extractor fan in the property below possibly some sort of Shisha establishment. Despite good double glazed windows the smell leaked in round the more ancient front door. The waste pipe from the toilet has a leak. Instead of repairing it, there is a plastic container under the leak which after a couple of days overflowed onto the floor.

Great location, very well equipped and comfortable for us as a family of 5
The stairs to the apartment were charming but quite steep for younger children

A lovely location but we were confronted by the eighty steps up to the apartment. It was a bit rustic but the square outside was charming.
We would have liked to get the instructions on how to access the apartment on both our phone and email because when we arrived we had received no details and relied on a local girl to help us gain entry. Communication needs to be clarified.
