Great location with parking. We had the best time in St Ives.

The wine afternoon and afternoon tea was a lovely welcome gift and much appreciated after a 5 hour journey. We loved the location and having a parking spot was perfect.

The double bed felt small and was very uncomfortable. Some of the furniture needed some attention and the drawers needed a good clear out as there was leaflets there dating 5 years ago (I did start this task!). Would be good if there was a coffee machine and I ended up buying some wine glasses.

St.Ives is a special place and we enjoyed it whilst staying at Windsor Lookout. We will come back to Cornwall for sure!

Bathrooms and toilets very good 👍 Kitchen well-equipped and good dining setup 👍 Super views from the lounge 👍 Spacious and light, a lovely home for our days and everyone enjoyed it 👍

No dislikes but beds and rooms were not ideal as we had Mum/Dad and baby in one room and grandparents in another….so grandparents had single beds and baby had travelcot in the double room whilst her Mum and Dad slept on the sofabed…..as they found baby didn’t sleep so well when in the same room. Just logistics and sleeping but we worked it out. Using the lounge for sleeping means no-one can stay up late to watch TV, and the TV could be bigger. Could not find a dustbin so carried our rubbish bags down to the Town bins, and paid for our second car in long stay carpark but think it was not necessary to pay at this time of year?

There were no fans provided so the rooms were stiflingly hot at night. It was a very uncomfortable sleeping situation. The double bed was hard. There was 1 towel provided per person for a 5 night stay, more would have been good. There was also very little toilet paper. The property is at the top of a steep hill so it won’t be suitable for older people or those with mobility issues.

Good location with great views across the harbour. It’s effectively a house within a house, with lounge, kitchen with small dining table and shower/ WC on first floor and 2 bedrooms each with en suite bath/ WC up in the attic. Nicely decorated throughout. Have added a photo of the lounge, which appears to have been decorated and new furniture from advertising photo shown. There is a rear exit that leads straight to the dedicated parking space, so good for unloading/ loading. A pint of milk, bottle of pink fizz, scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam were left for us, along with some teabags and coffee sachets. This was a nice touch, particularly after an 8 hour drive. Good sized fluffy white shower and hand towels provided. Tea towels, handful of dishwasher tablets, jay cloth and sponge provided. Plenty of plates, mugs, glasses provided. Cutlery drawer somewhat depleted, but reported this to agent. We were literally sleeping in the apartment the night before and the night of a wedding, so didn’t really do much apart from sleep and shower. However, there were board games provided and a TV in the sitting room if you’re there for a week.

There were a few cleaning/ maintenance issues which I raised afterwards with the agent, and I hope these are remedied, particularly for the price we paid! There is a dedicated parking space, but be aware that it is quite small. We reversed our Volvo XC60 in as tight to the wall as we could, but I think we would have struggled to get into the drivers side if another similar sized car was parked alongside. This is not a criticism at all - having a dedicated space was great, it’s just a heads up if you’re driving a large car. Something smaller would fit fine. The duvets were really heavy. I appreciate that bedding is a personal preference, but something lighter perhaps with blanket option if you’re cold would be preferable. We all found them to be far too hot. The bedrooms are effectively in the eaves, so watch your head! Due to the layout and roof structure, the double bed is right by the door, and the person getting into the other side needs to squeeze between the end of the bed whilst trying not to whack their head. Again, more of a heads up (pardon the pun) and not a criticism. There is no bedside table on the accessible side, so we brought up a side table from the sitting room. The bedroom curtains are not lined, so if you’re a light sleeper you may want to wear an eye mask.

A very lovely apartment close to St.Ives town and beaches

this property is lovely, very clean and is very well equipped, it’s very peaceful and has a lovely view of the ocean from the large lounge window, the two bedrooms are light and airy, with the added bonus of both being en-suite (with baths) and having a shower room downstairs

although you have an allocated parking space to the rear of the accommodation it’s very tight to get in and out of when the other space is occupied next to it , but the access into the building is easier than climbing the steps at the front to get your luggage in and out of the apartment

Last time used booking.com

Location was good

I was planning to not to write this review, but with the ongoing issues with Booking.com and how they handled the case, I must. We found ourselves to arrive at 6PM to an uncleaned property with leftovers from the previous guest. No towels, no bedsheets, clearly it was as is after the previous guest. Tried to call the host, and their office, but no answer. Called booking.com who refused to support in any way, and they referred me to the host. No empathy at all, no offer to book us elsewhere unless the host authorises it, We had a 16 months baby with us. and the host clearly was not answering! We booked to the nearest available town, Penzance, for twice as much as our original booking was, due there was nothing else available. The host of Windsor Lookout called next day and they admitted that they completely missed the booking, which though was done about a week or two in advance. They told that a full refund will happen on same day, which did to booking.com, but booking.com still holding the money as of the 29th April and awaiting for a written email confirmation from the host that they can refund. This whole situation dealing with booking.com and the host left me out of pocket of £800, hence suggest all readers to stay away from using booking.com.
