Beautiful cottage, in a perfect location

Beautiful cottage, based just outside of Llanidloes (10mins walk to the centre). The photos do not do it justice - the cottage is lovely inside and out - a lovely, cosy retreat and a perfect base for exploring the stunning Welsh countryside from the doorstep.

Cozy autumnal weekend.

It was perfection! The size of the place - bigger than we envisaged. Beds were very comfortable and it was nice and quiet. Kitchen was perfectly equipped for everything. Very homely and cozy - and very very clean. Ladies the arrived when we were checking out were very friendly too.

Such a beautiful cottage. Extremely well equipped with everything we needed. Lisa was very helpful with her messages and advice. We would have loved to have stayed longer. The extra touches were really appreciated and the top garden and view was stunning.

Absolutely perfect!

You're not going to get better than this, an absolutely amazing place to stay and enjoy the awesome countryside in the surrounding area. Very clean and tidy, all the utilities you could wish for and lots of thoughtful things available to make the stay perfect. Very friendly hosts who go out of their way to make everything exactly right. 10/10

Idyllic authentic Welsh country cottage

The location was fine on a country road very peaceful, and only a mile into the town. The cottage was spotless and so well equipped, has everything you need and more. Everything was of a high standard and quality, a lot of love has been put into this holiday home. The beds were comfy with lovely linens, decor was so pretty with a natural welsh theme. The host Lisa was excellent with communication. We only had a short stay to attend a wedding, I couldn't have chosen better.

Beautiful cosy cottage

The cottage was beautifully presented. It has a lovely cosy feel about it. There were lots of lovely added touches such as a basket of shower gel and other toiletries, a bottle of milk ready in the fridge, shortbread and welshcakes left to enjoy. Tea and coffee ready and waiting. It was lovely and clean. Had we have stayed longer we would have had use of a washer and dryer. Plenty of wood for the log burner if required. Dvd's, books, you name it, this cottage had it! We will definitely be returning in the winter months for a cosy weekend away! 🙂

Relaxing from the moment you open the door.

Beautiful, well equipped cottage with a very homely feel. Oozing history but with modern fittings (including a great bathroom) which make it a very practical place to stay. Great to have off-street parking.

could make more use of the outdoor space - the garden is lovely and the views great. Some comfy chairs would make it even more enjoyable.

Beautiful cottage, stunning location

An absolutely beautiful cottage in a fantastic location. Very comfortable and homely with everything you could possibly want or need. We were lucky enough to meet Lisa the owner who couldn't have been more helpful. Mid Wales is an overlooked area of Wales which has some stunning scenery and great walks. So stay in Llanidloes but more importantly stay in Dan Y Coed cottage!

Lovely 200 year old cottage in a wooded location meant it was blissfully cool during one of the heatwaves on Summer 2022. The cottage was spotlessly clean and well appointed. We had a perfect stay thank you
