A stay to remember! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We had an absolutely fantastic time at this beautiful place. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with exceptional warmth and hospitality. Marie is a truly amazing host: she went above and beyond to make us feel completely at home. Everything we asked for, she did with genuine care and kindness (and a big smile!!). It felt like we were part of her family: a rare and heartfelt sense of connection that made our stay so special. The location was INCREDIBLE! From her home, we had quick access to several stunning hikes, and within just 15 minutes we were enjoying meals at amazing local restaurants. The facilities at the accommodation were also perfect: clean, well-equipped, and thoughtfully arranged down to the smallest detail. (Especially the beautiful place for breakfast and swimming pool we loved!) In short, this is a place we would return to without hesitation. A stay where the warmth of the people is just as impressive as the beauty of the surroundings. Thank you, Marie — you’re truly one of a kind! ❤️

A beautiful, peaceful experience

We had an amazing stay at the Villa Monte Bianco. Marie, the host, was so friendly & hospitable. She honestly could not have been more accommodating & this really made us feel comfortable & relaxed during our stay. The room itself was very clean, well equipped & the bed was comfortable. Despite there not being air conditioning. You really didn't need it as the rooms are naturally cool & the fan was adequate to keep you cool enough at night. The views from the balcony outside the room are stunning & having breakfast in the morning with the view was a nice experience. The villa is in close proximity to the lake. About a 20-minute walk & there are restaurants & a supermarket close by for convenience. The villa itself is beautifully situated & and it's certainly quiet, peaceful & tranquil. In fact, the whole of Mandello del lario felt like that most of the time as it was away from all the hustle & bustle of the main tourist areas but easy to access by train or bus if you want to take a day trip which we did. It takes 20 mins to travel to Varenna or Lecco by bus or train & booking transport is easy using the trainline app.

The walk to & from the villa is a steep 20 min walk & during the heat can be quite a challenge, especially getting up when it's 30+ degrees in heat. But we are quite fit & enjoy walking so managed the walk often twice a day but I would imagine for some people it would be a challenge. Having said that, Marie kindly transported us to & from the villa with our luggage when we arrived & and left, which was a great help.

Monte Bianco

Maria and her husband were exceptional hosts and could not do enough for you. Every aspect of our room was perfect, and the bathroom was stunning. The location was perfect, with stunning views of Lake Como.We can not recommend the hosts and Monte Bianco highly enough.

The ideal B&B at Lake Como

We had a wonderful stay at Marie's Villa Monte Bianco. It is not easy to choose where to stay by the large Lake Como. This villa has the perfect location above the charming village of Mandello del Lario. It is the perfect base for visiting Varenna, Lecco, Bellagio, or even taking the train to Milan. From a path behind the villa, you can also immediately start hiking in the mountains, along rivers, or all the way to waterfalls. The villa itself is fully equipped, with charming room with a bathroom, excellent beds, a small fridge, and the necessary amenities such as a hairdryer, kettle, coffee maker, and cutlery. There is no TV, but we did not miss it. Breakfast is served on the balcony. Marie coordinates the breakfast content and the desired time with you. The hostess was very friendly and thoughtfully suggested activities. Despite the less favorable weather, we had a wonderful holiday at Villa Monte Bianco.

One of the curtains was recently damaged, so we could only have complete privacy by closing the shutters. This will certainly be fixed in the future.

The best place ever

This is the best place we have ever stayed. The location was great, with an amazing view, a lovely pool to swim in and extremely peaceful! We stayed for 4 nights and it just wasn’t enough time. There is so much to do here. The host Marie was just exceptional, so friendly, lovely and extremely helpful! She provided us with so many great recommendations, ones being the hike to the waterfall which we would never have known was there. She really made our time amazing! I couldn’t recommend this place enough!!!

Most relaxing spot in Lake Como

Villa Monte Bianco is the most relaxing and rejuvenating holiday spot in Italy. I felt instantly taken care of by our host Marie, who was able to look after us for the duration of our stay. The room is not only gorgeous, but the Mandello area is a must see! Can’t wait to visit again sometime soon

Best host we've ever had!

There are hosts and there are hosts... Marie is an absolute ANGEL! From start to finish. Accommodating our late arrival, amazing breakfast, fabulous recommendations, great warm chat and friendliness, and even preparing us a breakfast to take on the morning of our early flight back home!! We cannot recommend Marie and her place enough! Excellent location away from the bustling Bellagio, Lecco, Vasana and Como yet perfectly situated for all. We'll definitely be back!

Wonderful

View from the bnb was amazing 👍 nice pool, beautiful room. Fantastic host- so helpful and kind. She provides so much information on taxis and restaurants etc in the area including phone numbers and links to websites. She helped us organise a boat tour. She left the key for us to check in early and even sent on videos explaining how to get in and where to find the key.

Only a very small breakfast included in the price. Bread, jam, butter, tea and juice. The location was okay for us because we don’t mind walking but the hill up to the property is very steep and some people would need a car to access it especially with their baggage.

The hosts of the B&B were fantastic. The hospitality and enthusiasm with which we were received is a reason to go back for sure. For one day we take the more extensive breakfast, which was amazing (see the picture).

Un séjour reposant avec une superbe vue et une hôte aux petits soins

Marie était aux petits soins. Elle nous a très bien indiqué la route pour venir et nous a très bien renseigné sur les alentours. Nous avions même une place de parking sur place ! (Attention toutefois à la taille de votre voiture et il faut avoir bien l'habitude de conduire en montagne, petite ruelle pentue à sens unique oblige.) Excellent petit déjeuner avec du choix et de bons produits, et avec une vue splendide. Nous recommandons ce lieu sans aucune hésitation ! Attention si vous souhaitez prendre le train, la ligne du village et des villages au nord est actuellement en travaux (pour 1 an), il est toutefois possible de prendre le train depuis Lecco. En résumé, un séjour reposant que nous avons beaucoup apprécié et avec une hôte réactive qui sait prendre soin de vous. Merci encore !

Schon im Vorfeld haben wir hilfreiche Infos zur Anfahrt erhalten. Wer mit dem Auto anreist: Die Strasse zur Unterkunft ist etwas schmal, aber mit einem normalen Wagen oder einem kompakten VW-Camper gut machbar. Marie ist eine sehr herzliche Gastgeberin. Wir durften direkt nach unserer Ankunft das Pool nutzen und bekamen danach sogar einen Willkommensdrink spendiert. Zudem erhielten wir viele Tipps für Wanderungen in der Nähe. Das Frühstück war ausgiebig und sehr liebevoll zubereitet, mit frischen Früchten vom Markt. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit. Wir können die Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen!

Tout était parfait dans cet établissement à commencer par la localisation qui permet d’être en retrait de la foule du lac de Côme, tout en profitant de son charme et de l’authenticité de Mandello del Lario et en ayant les transports aussi bien le ferry que la gare pour se rendre en seulement 15 minutes à Varenna ou en quelques minutes à Bellagio. Marie a été des plus attentionnée (apéro d’accueil, venir nous chercher à la gare, demander ce que l’on veut pour le petit dej, nous faire les meilleures recommandations pour profiter au mieux de notre séjour). Le petit déjeuner était vraiment délicieux complet et de qualité (Par exemple Marie fait un jus d’orange, pressé chaque matin, chose qui j’ai du mal à trouver à chaque fois que je vais en Italie). La literie est de qualité, la chambre est impeccable et les équipements complet.

La maison qui abrite les 2 chambres du gîte est typique de la région, avec une piscine qui vient l'agrémenter. La terrasse permet d'admirer le lac en contrebas. La chambre et ses équipements offrent tout le confort et le petit-déjeuner est varié, selon vos goûts. Marie est une hôtesse charmante et de bons conseils.

Point d'attention: l'accès au gîte se fait par une mulatière, chemin étroit pavé de cailloux, qui surprend quand on le prend la 1ère fois. Mais c'est ce qui donne aussi son charme et la vue sur le lac.

Marie a leggondosabb házigazda, akivel valaha is találkoztam. Proaktív, segítőkész, azon van, hogy a tartózkodás a lehető legjobban sikerüljön. Nem túlzok, ha azt mondom, hogy egy Angyal. Szívesen ad ötleteket a látnivalókhoz, és nagyon jó éttermeket ajánl. Mindenkinek csak ajánlani tudom a helyet, aki a Comoi-tónál keres szállást, ne keressen tovább!
