Stefano was the perfect host—from picking us up at the station and sharing valuable insights about the lake area, to ensuring all our needs were met throughout our stay.
The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed. We also enjoyed a spacious, well-equipped communal lounge and kitchen area. Each morning, breakfast was a highlight, with an amazing variety of freshly baked pastries.
Public transport from the property is scarce and travelling needs to be planned ahead. Plenty of affordable taxis are available and very convenient to fill in for this. This will not keep us from staying here again!!!

Una bellissima struttura accogliente, pulita e curata. Il fascino dell’autenticità è unito alla modernità dei dettagli. I proprietari sono gentilissimi e abbiamo davvero passato una bella serata in compagnia nella sala comune. Cena e colazione fatti in casa buonissimi.

A lovely homely property, Stefano was a super welcoming friendly host who made us feel right at home. The property is beautiful and offers wonderful views over the lake. The room has everything you need and was very clean. There is a communal area with a kettle and some drinks that can be purchased. The breakfast was one of the standouts - we especially enjoyed the apple and cinnamon homemade jam and the pastries! Its a great location to use as a base to explore other parts of Lake Como - Varenna is only a 10 minute train journey away where there are ferries to Bellagio and Mennagio very often.
The location is situated about a 10 minute drive from the train station and up a steep hill. This isn’t a major issue as Stefano offers to pick you up and drop you off from the train station on your day of arrival and departure, its only if your heading to the station on other days that you need to find your own way there. There is a signposted trail downhill from the b&b to the station that takes about 30 minutes, we didn’t risk coming back up in the dark so were given a local taxi’s number who drove us back up. The hosts also have a restaurant in front of the B&B which we visited on the first night - it’s a very small, family run restaurant serving high quality Italian dishes. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal and recommend booking a table if you are staying in the B&B.
