Residenza Laurum

Before we arrived, Lucia sent a message to welcome us and introduce herself. On arrival, we were greeted and given lots of very helpful information about the area with timetables and maps. We were offered a drink and croissant too. We were then shown to our room which was ready on arrival (12.30pm) and there were some free snacks and a bottle of wine for us in the fridge. There were beers and soft drinks too if we wanted them at a small cost. Breakfast was very good. Home cooked eggs every morning of a different variety and a wide selection of fruit, sweet treats, yogurts, local jams etc. Lucia served her guests very attentively and Luca, her husband made the lovely hot food daily. Breakfast is outside on the terrace with stunning surroundings. The hotel is spotless. Our room had a large bedroom with tv (including Netflix and Amazon prime) a separate large living area with sofa. Modern bathroom with toiletries. We visited Varenna, Bellagio, Menaggio, Lecco and Tremezzo while there. All very beautiful and easily accessible from Mandello del Lario. Varenna was our favourite and the nearest to Mandello. The bus stop is right next to the hotel and buses around every 15 minutes going in both directions. There is a ferry to Bellagio from the waterfront which is a 5 minute walk away. There are bars and restaurants there too and a gelato shop which is very good. Perfect all round stay for our first time on lake Como. Thankyou so much Lucia and Luca.

That we only had 3 days there. We wished we had longer.

The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful! They recommended us what’s worth visiting and how to get around. We felt comfortable to reach out with any question/ request we had. The food on breakfast was fresh and very tasty! Thank you Lucia and Luca !

We loved everything

Everything was amazing. Room was spacious, even bigger than we expected, and the breakfast was VERY tasty. Thanks to the host, Lucia, who helped us with everything we needed. If we ever come back to the Lake Como, we will stay Residenza Laurum again!

Breakfast was perfect, location, service! Lucia and her partner were excellent hosts and nothing was too much! We will be back soon :)

Amazing hosts who took care of every detail to ensure a pleasant stay

Our lovely BandB hosts welcomed us into their beautiful home with great hospitality, care and attention. Our room was spacious and comfortable; the bathroom was exceptional too. Lucia had generously provided snacks and wine in our fridge. The breakfasts were delicious and leftover cakes/fruit etc remained in the dining area all day for visitors to treat themselves! Both hosts were very helpful in advising us as to where we might explore and how to navigate the area, in terms of buses and ferries etc.

Fantastic stay with Lucia being an amazing host. Mandello is a beautiful little village and offers a perfect mix of mountains, beach and Italian cousine. The room was spacious and clean, secure parking included and Lucia helped with bookings and recommendations. We will definetely try to return.

The bed could maybe have been a bit more comfortable, but this really is complaning on a very high level. The stay was great!
