Great location,excellent breakfast, friendly staff.

Unfortunately the Spa and pool were out of action which was one of the reasons for selecting the hotel. The hotel decor is dull and the cuisine in the restaurant was disappointing. Parking at the hotel is also charged extra.

Breakfast was easy to navigate. Good selection and promptly served. Staff was excellent in every part of the hotel from reception, cleaning staff, bar tenders and dining room.

It was unfortunate that the leisure facilities weren't available.

After booking our stay in January, the hotel messaged to advise me to book spa times in advance. I did so in early December and clearly asked for dates in January but then started getting reminders of bookings for December. It took a great many emails from me to get the bookings changed to our January dates . Then I started getting reminders about the January bookings and was very surprised to learn on checking in to the hotel that the spa was out of action because of a fire.This was obviously a real difficulty for the hotel but I should have had a message about it and not all these reminders. A message about the spa arrived several hours after check in. Our large attic room had a lovely balcony but was sparsely furnished. Another easy chair and a coffee table would be good. Also the bedside light switches are very awkwardly placed. Room cleaning could have been better

Smart, nice rooms, decent location, excellent staff

We booked the hotel based on its Spa/pool and bar. When we got there the spa/pool was out of service for the duration of our stay. We asked for a discount/compensation but were offered none as we had already paid in advance. The bar was unavailable due to a corporate function. The restaurant was disappointing at best. Altogether disappointing
