Cosy well thought out cottage

Best described as small but perfectly formed. A lot of thought has gone into making it a lovely cottage with everything you will need. It was a cold night but the cottage felt cosy. Sam the owner couldn’t have been more helpful. The grounds are lovely and the dogs are great.

The TV could use updating as its a bit outdated now, plus, I feel most would prefer it by the bed, even though I understand you want to make the living area feel relevant.

Would like to come back....

Everything was great. Location was good, cottage was just like expected and how it was described. There was everything we needed for our one night stay. Bed very comfortable. Heating worked well. The house was small but enough for a couple. Our little dog liked the area although she was a little nervous first when she met two big dogs. But they left her alone. Very friendly dogs so you don't have to worry about them.

I only mention this for people who are afraid of dogs. When we arrived two large dogs welcomed us and there was no human about. We were ok but some people might be scared leaving the car. Both are very friendly and you don't have to worry about them. Just keep it in mind.

Amazing views if you plan to go with your fur babies

The scenes, beautiful acres of peaceful land. Beautiful horses, lovely dogs that played with my frenchie. Private peaceful my frenchie loved it so made me happy

Not the cleanest, pans was oily still not clean, not enough toiletries, a lot of spiders around in kitchen bedroom. Netflix prime didn’t work also :(

Friendly people, warm welcome, very clean. Fresh towels and linen. Dog friendly with ample room to give him a walk, safe secure fence so he couldn’t get out.

Property was great, open plan living, all you needed for a short stay.

The tv was hard to use, took me time to find how to use it. No instructions, I have a smart tv and had problems.

Okay, but could have been better.

Breakfast items of cereal, porridge, milk, butter and a few biscuits, tea and coffee. Comfy bed, good shower, compact, but perfectly adequate for a few nights break. Clean, warm and comfortable. WiFi okay.

Didn't like the lack of privacy, as accommodation is facing owners house, and there was a lot of activity by the house as owners were tending to their animals. Not keen on two dogs lurking outside as they barked a fair bit and jumped up us. More guard dogs than anything. Although the owners saw us, they made no attempt to engage with us, or welcome us throughout our stay, however contact via email was polite and solicitous. No where to eat your meals properly, so it was a tray on the lap on the sofa.

Best place to stay in the area, stunning!!

Beautiful location, stunning views, very quiet. Gated location so I felt very safe being on my own, Cottage located just across the drive from the owners house. Fabulous bed, very comfortable, lovely kitchen area, all that I needed, milk in the fridge and breakfast cereals much appreciated. Bathroom was beautiful, done to a very high standard, TV a good size, not one of these tiny ones you need a telescope to see. Comfortable chairs to sit and relax, overall a great stay with very hospitable hosts. will be staying again very soon

Perfect weekend away

Although this was a self catering property it was a nice surprise to have porridge, cerals, mlk and butter aswell as tea and coffee supplied. The bed was extemely comfortable. Although small the cottage was well appointed and tastefully decorated. Perfect for a weekend stay. We were also introduced to the owners latest acquisition - Two very pretty Bo-peep Valaise Lambs!

It was really gorgeous little place. Private, tastefully decorated, cosy and comfortable.

It was very chilly when we arrived in the property but we did arrive 2 hours early on the off chance we could check in early. It soon warmed up. My partner said there were a few cobwebs about but I didn’t see any! My partner is tall and the bed wasn’t that comfortable for him as his feet were stuck in the footboard. The bedsheets were a little nylony. However, these things are being super picky. We absolutely loved it but think we would like to know such picky things if it was our space we were letting.

All in all was a lovely little place and would definitely visit again if in the area.

The cottage was well equipped and had everything we needed for a comfortable nights stay. The bed was comfy, the water was lovely and hot in the shower and the wifi worked well.

Was advised that coffee and tea facilities would be available, and provisions for 'breakfast on the go' and while there was indeed coffee, tea, sugar and cereals available there was unfortunately no milk! Butter was also provided - but no bread! Check in via the keypad and automatic gates was convenient but felt a bit too impersonal - a friendly face would have been nice for such a quaint little property. Horses in stable next to room were a little noisy during the night (wasnt a problem for us as live in country so used to such) which could be an issue for some people.
